DH is watching for the giggles. I had to go to bed because I couldn't handle the cray. How is Trump leading the polls??? I am not sure if that is cause to laugh or cry. Ok I choose laugh... for now...

I'm a republican (gasp inknow!- more liberal in my social beliefs though with issues such as gay marriage and the like) and am having a really hard time finding a candidate I actually can back up this time. I like Jeb, but do we need another bush? Trump makes me wanna vomit in my mouth. Huckabee is a loser. Walker is a loser. I like Christie but not as a president. Heck, I might have liked Dr Ben Carson best. It's gonna be a long 15 months I think...

Edited because I apparently don't know some of the candidates names. Must. Drink. Coffee!!

We're in the same boat except. I am fairly liberal in SOME of my social views. I think gay marriage is totally fine, live and let live. I love Ben Carson, but he's really the only one. I haven't watched the top 10 debate yet so I don't really have an opinion on that yet. Stay tuned...I'll have more to say tomorrow!

I like Dr. Ben & I really liked Kasich. Marco Rubio wasn't wholly disappointing. It'll be interesting to see another debate.

I forgot to make popcorn...have to eat while watching the debate, half to eat while watching DH's reactions to everything Trump said (he just thinks that it's hilarious/ridiculous that trump is running so almost wants to vote for him as a joke...)

Unpopular opinion. I actually like trump. He's not a politician. He's not going to bs or dance around and lie. He's going to have an opinion and stick with it, even if I don't agree I'm OK with someone as long as they aren't lying through thier teeth to get another vote. I hate polititans, they all are crooked in my opinion. I'd rather someone who isn't a career politician try it out. Does he have some ideas or said some things I don't like, of course. But then again at least he's saying it out loud

I was impressed by Cruz's debate skills (not as much what he has to say). But I already knew he was a bad ass debater, albeit a wacknut.

The Donald's discussion about how he is totes fine with taking advantage of the laws so that he could further the interests of his companies while making his creditors lose billions was disturbing.

I think the only candidates with a chance in hell of beating Hillary are Bush and Kasich. Unfortunately, I think Trump is going to screw this up for the party.

See, I've heard this from multiple people. And that really freaks me out that he's actually going to get elected because enough people thought it would be funny to vote for him!

@cattlebride, my thoughts exactly!

Whether or not Trump makes it much further, I hope he has done enough to pave the way for transparency and bluntness. Not everyone will agree with a leader's decision, but more would respect one that doesn't backpedal or apologize for saying something that they believe in just BC opinions differ.

Trump may be a business mogul, but I don't believe he is qualified to run a country. He is arrogant. Normally I would be impressed by such a transparent person, but in his case, I believe he will also deceive every chance he gets. I also believe that he will trample on people to "do a good job". I do like his idea regarding health insurance.

I wasn't impressed with Paul, though I love his father. I would totes vote for that cute little old man who only wants to do what our forefathers intended. However, it's possible that this debate was so colored by the side show circus of Trump that nobody really had the chance to speak as he took up most of the talk time.

I was very impressed by Kasich. I would like to hear more about the plans he has for this country. I was also very impressed by Carson. I'm going to do some research on him today. I especially liked how he thought carefully before speaking every word.

Nothing that Ted Cruz said was genuine; he is impulsive and mastered by childish emotions. Rubio, at first, seemed disingenuous but quickly became someone who intrigued me. I'd like to see him in another debate. I'm also going to do some more research on him today.

I don't know how I feel about Huckabee. I did think his profession of faith was not genuine. I think Scott Walker is out of touch and is a war monger. And Bush, I don't know enough about him to have an impression.

P.S. I'm probably more Libertarian than anything (at least that's how I've scored on internet tests), but I'm pretty sure I'll be voting Republican this next election.

I can't stand Huckabee. He is way to extreme for my tastes and I find him to judgmental.

The Donald is a joke. I do like how he says what he thinks, versus trying to balance all the red tape but there are things about him I absolutely abhor.

Kasich surprised the shizz out of me. I loved his answer regarding gay marriage honestly & to me that showed true character. You can be against something but still show respect & uphold the laws of the land.

Ted Cruz was a great debater but he seems shady.

Dr Ben, I've been excited about him since he announced in May.

Marco Rubio also had some good answers I liked but not sold.

I wish Allen West would run, I do like him.
