I thought kg were less than pounds?

    1 kilogram equals 2.204 pounds

  • I went from 120 to 200 with my son 3 years ago!! I never got completely back to my pre pregnancy weight.. I stay around 135.. I lost weight in the beginning of this one and still around 133, but I'm not complaining.. My boobs have grown 2 cup sizes and my belly looks like I a beer gut .. But baby is healthy and measuring well.. I want to do what I can to not gain 80 pounds again.. But I feel nauseous if I got even a hour without a snack so idk what I'm going to do .. I was constantly snacking with my son and gained 80 pounds, but my dr was never worried!? & when I say snacking I mean, yogurts, fruits, pretzels, granola bars, crackers.. Occasionally the not so healthy snacks, but 99% of the time I tried to aim for healthier snacks or less fattening ones.. Any advice?!

Weight gain and weight loss is always a matter of calories in minus calories out. Healthy or not, you were picking up calories somewhere, and more than you needed. I recommend food tracking on an app like My Fitness Pal for awhile, just to get an idea of what's really in foods and how much you're consuming. It can be surprising... once you have a better feel for your own diet, then ditch the app, because obsessing about weight beyond the information gathering stage isn't healthy!
  • Gained quickly in the begin in when I stopped running five miles a day and stopped hijacking carbs and dairy from my diet... But haven't gained a pound in two weeks... Up like 13 pounds at 16 weeks and 3 days... I eat when I am hungry and try to keep things relatively healthy. I am far more concerned with health of my LO than gaining a few extra pounds... I do monitor things though.
  • I gained 5 lbs from week 8 to week 12 which seemed like a lot and my doctor told me to be careful. I didn't start out overweight, but it seemed a bit quick to him. I think his concern was for shedding the weight post-baby if anything. However, since my morning sickness has gotten better (but not gone away, almost 17 weeks...what a joy!!!!) I've been able to eat healthier so in about 11 weeks of knowing that I'm pregnant I've gained a total of 9 lbs. Still under the weight of when I was at my heaviest so currently fitting into my "going to get rid of these clothes because I won't ever need them again".... I'm going to also go ahead and say at least one pound are in each boob....and growing. and painful. OUCH!!!!!
  • This could have totally been written by me!! Everything from hubs flipping out, to being "chubby." Just got weighed at the office, and I lost a pound! I am currently at net zero on weight, I believe. I started recording weight at 7 weeks. I'm not worried. I'll continue to try to eat healthy, then say screw it and eat what I want!!

  • I lost 13 pounds in the beginning and been maintaining it ever since. I'm 17 weeks and 2 days and my doctor said to consider myself one of the lucky ones on top of not getting sick at all this entire time. Very grateful :)
  • Thanks ladies that makes me feel a whole lot better! I will be 20 weeks tomorrow and I have now put on 3lbs. He (husband) didn't go to the dr visit and he didn't ask about my weight....so I'm not concerned. AND the dr didn't say anything about it either.
