Little ray of sunshine!

I can't find the last thread started about sharing something positive (and believe me, I searched for it.) I thought I would start this one where everyone can share a little "ray of sunshine" :)

Mine is a shout out to @Snoopylovesbelle and @KaraEpp16 for being point leaders this week! Woop woop!

And also that I finally got a badge for 100 lovetits :)

  • @KaraEpp16 I'm totally blaming pregnancy brain because I could not for the life of me remember the words "winning Wednesday" ha!
  • Don't worry this was a cute idea.
  • @sbeara25 I can't wait to feel movement! Totally jealous of you!
  • My little ray of sunshine is my dd. I'm so in love with her and super glad to spend 24-7 with her. Now, yesterday may have been a different story, but today I can't get enough!
  • @daniellelynette it'll be happening soon for our group of peeps if it hasn't yet :) it's a wonderful feeling and I hope it happens soon for you :) baby's are pretty crazy little ones aren't they? They love to keep us on our toes

I love this thread idea, @daniellelynette! My ROS was my niece (7) who gave me a hug before she went to camp and then hugged my belly and said "bye robert!" I melted.

I love that you gave it an acronym! :) And I melt every time my DH talks to my belly :) The other day he was trying to teach LO Spanish! Lol!
  • My little ray of sunshine happens every day, but I'm so in love with it.
Anytime DH kisses or talks to my belly, baby will move to be right under his lips or his hand. DH can't feel it yet, but man oh man. Baby loves when DH spends time with them.
Plus I get to feel the cute little movements when DH does it. So win for me. :x

Oh my that is just the cutest thing I've ever heard..... For your DH I hope he can feel soon because I'm sure he'd love that :)
  • @arose3eb That's precious! Is that the name you've chosen or did she come up with that?  I only ask because my 5 year old niece is SO excited about this baby. She keeps coming up with names that she calls the baby such as Cupid...Love...Heart...Squanky. Yes, Squanky hahaha.

I'm literally the MOST jealous of anyone feeling their LO move! I just got to 15 weeks so I probably still have a ways to go before feeling anything :( And I can't wait for DH to feel LO moving too! He is just the mushiest when it comes to the baby. He's always got his hands on my tummy :)
  • @JandJ62914 that's so cute! Cupid! Robert is the name we chose, she (and her sister) are so excited to have a little boy cousin it's so sweet, I can only imagine how some of the STM's are feeling with their children's excitement for a sibling on the way. STM's: how do you handle the cuteness?!

I love that we are all now stashing McD's in our purses lmao! It's no longer food to go, it's a purse cheeseburger. McD's sounds sooooo good right now, too bad the only fast food we have in this town is stupid Subway :(

ETA- If I want McD's I have to drive 40 freakin' miles. Ugh. Small town life.
  • @arose3eb I love it! I think both of our babies are super lucky to have such loving cousins waiting for their arrival. :)  My sister is actually a little jealous because when she was pregnant with her second my niece was 2-2 1/2 and was completely disinterested!  Now that she's older she's asking all kinds of questions, kisses my belly, comes up with names, AND is coming to the anatomy scan because she's "just so curious" (her words) to see how the baby is growing.
  • @daniellelynette
I started feeling baby move at about 16 weeks. I'm now 17 an a couple days.
I've been trying and trying to get DH to feel the baby move, but DH says he can't feel anything yet. I'm hoping within the next week or two. He loves this baby so much, I just wish he could feel what he does to the baby when he talks to it. He calls the baby his little "punkin butt".
DH melts my heart every time.

This literally just made me tear up because my Dad always called me "punkin' butt". I love it!! Thanks for all those feels lol
And I hope I get to feel baby move soon! LO has been measuring a week ahead since our first appointment so I hope it won't take too long! I know for a fact all I've been feeling lately is gas :( Awful gas. And I feel so weird because in the six years that I've known DH and almost 4 years that we have been together I haven't farted in front of him. Well one time when I had the flu and it was a mid-vomit toot... I digress but all I'm feeling is gas lmao

ETA- I can't make English today
  • @daniellelynette I didn't know I was a point leader! That's pretty cool.
My ray of sunshine is DD she's just so cute :)

Sorry the quality is so crappy, I can only reply on my phone but I can only see the leaders on my tablet, so I had to take a picture of my tablet with my phone lol
  • @daniellelynette lmao!! "Mid-vomit toot"...
Completely understand that. Pre pregnancy, I never farted in front of DH. Now it's game over, I don't hide them anymore.

As for the "punkin butt", I have no idea where DH got it. But he has claimed that nickname. My mom used to call me "peanut". So I've called baby that a few times. I usually just call it "baby", until we find out the sex. Then I'll call it by a gender related nickname.

My little ray is making the decision not to sign a contract that isn't in my best interest. I decided to do what's right for me and not what's right for the people who want me to sign!
  • @mommaSimpkin My sister almost refused to do our engagement pictures unless I farted in front of DH. It's a good thing she finally did or we wouldn't have this gem :)
  • My ROS is that I'm on my way to the cabin at this very moment! I love lake life.
  • Yesterday morning was the first time I knew that I was feeling LO, not just gas. (I'm 17+6) Then, when I got home, SO and I were talking and she started wiggling around again! He had a bad day and was telling me all about it. I told him she was trying to say, don't worry dad! He said it really cheered him up and brightened his whole day. Today I've been feeling her bumping around in there too.
@daniellelynetteAfter everyone talking about it for so long, I felt so jealous and like I'd never feel her move around. It'll happen soon!
  • @pittstown13 thanks for sharing! I love to hear that everyone's LOs are so active! We got to see ours wiggling around on the ultrasound and we can hear a ridiculous amount of movement on the Doppler but I just can't wait for the moment I can feel LO moving :)
  • My Little Ray of Sunshine, was finishing the paining in the Nursery, and hearing LO's heart beat again!

  • @cjd&k I just tried to like your photos twice…

My ray of sunshine is deciding that I am getting McDonald's for dinner: cause yes.

I am so jealous! I've been craving a double quarter pounder with cheese for so long.... And fries and ranch.... *drool*
  • @daniellelynette I love the picture! It's beautiful.
I figured if DH is gonna see the birth, he can stand to hear or if it comes to it, smell a fart or two.
Yet every time he hears my fart, he looks at me like he just can't believe it. He once told me that my farts don't count, because the sound like a dying whale... :-??
Not sure what he wants it to sound like.. But his comment made me laugh.

@ChelseyBels tonight I've decided to send DH to grab Taco Bell after he gets off work.
Not having to cook or do dinner dishes is definitely a ray of sunshine in my book.
  • I have another ROS my mom just texted me, she's decided to join Facebook, but has many questions like, "how do I get friends to join? Can I reply to somebody without everyone seeing it?" She's too cute. Ha!
  • My ROS: I'm finally off work. Time for some movies and loom knitting.
  • My ROS is I'm taking my kids to the drive in theater tonight. It's always a good time!
