Does Your Baby Have a Name?

What do you call your baby? Just "Baby"? Or Bean? Bump? Squirt? Something else? Why that name? When will you start using a "real name?

We are calling our baby "Encore". We're both big music lovers, and it seems appropriate since this is our last. Plus, we feel it gives our child an identity to have a name, and it makes it more real for us. Also, it's gender neutral, so it will keep til March. (Team Green!) We won't keep "real" names a secret, but we won't use them til s/he's here.

With my first we called her baby boo or baby wilaboo. This baby I call little bear and after today's ultrasound I started calling her minion #2. But we are going to find out what we are having. I would like to wait but I really want to know.

Lol we call our baby swimmy. It's silly how it started but the sperm swam to the egg lol and now it is squirming around in my belly. Name kind of stuck and will change when we find out gender.

I like Lovebug. LO #1 was Ladybug and LO#2 was Babybug. I am not sure DH will be saying Lovebug too often, but a girl can dream

We do not call baby its real name until birth, no real reason, we just don't.

Taco! We started this as our inside joke about my insane cravings of Mexican food and ended up eating nachos 3 nights in a row- we found out the following week I was late!

Side note: I have a 6 year old brother who insists there are TWO babies, so we also refer to it as taco and enchilada!

What a great post! I call it "the babe" at the moment for some reason but we have our boy and girls names Sussed already - "Etta" for and girl and "Rueben" if it's a boy.... I'm feeling girl though!

With our first pregnancy we called her "Jellybean" because of her shape on the ultrasound. When we decided on a name, that's what we started using. I can't remember what we did for the next two pregnancies... this time, I'm almost 12 weeks, and we don't have any cutesy nicknames. I think I just refer to him/her as "the baby" or "trouble #4."

my husband and I have been calling it "the niño" as my husband is half Mexican. my mom thinks the name is hilarious and is calling it "the oncoming storm" in response, lolol

I call the baby "Bean" but my husband calls it BG. Brenna Grace is the girl name that we have picked out and he thinks the baby is a girl.

We refer to it as "the baby." We referred to our first as "the baby" too. Maybe we're just not very creative... My aunt was pregnant with twin girls and called them "The Ruperts" which we still call them even as they turn 6.

Currently this baby's name is Stormageddon, dark lord/lady of all. My husband is completely on board with that, but my mother refuses to indulge me and calls it baby bean instead.
