How much pain is too much? I'm 18+3 and the last week or so, right at the bottom of my uterus I've been having so much pain. Not just the occasional stretching pain, but like a heaviness and pain that is constant for hours at a time. Feels like my uterus is trying to fall out/rip in half. Is this RL pain? This constant? No bleeding so I'm sure everything is fine I just worry a lot, plus it hurts so. Lol
My standard for pain is, if it interferes with my normal activities and doesn't have an explanation, that is too much pain. To me, I would describe round ligament pain as more of in my muscles below abdomen, not my uterus. And also, in my experience RLP isn't constant. I also feel a heaviness in my uterus, but it's not pain, and it's obvious to me that it's just baby/uterus growing. Honestly, I would call the doctor if I were in your shoes. Hope you feel better! ETA: everyone is so different though. I know that I have a very high pain tolerance. So, if I was experiencing something that is as painful as you describe it, I'd be calling my doctor
@babybluu Any time it's constant pain or pain so bad that it is affecting your life, I would say it couldn't hurt to contact your doctor. Even if there is no issue (and often there isn't!), they can sometimes give you meds or stretches or advice that can help with quality of life
I've been experiencing sharp pinching like pain on my right side where I presume my ovary is. Not positive but it is pulsing and has happened the past couple days. I'm worried but trying to talk myself o ut of it. Any possible explainations?
I would suggest googling or searching on TB about Round Ligament Pain and seeing if that could possibly explain it? Here is a link with more info: https://www.thebump.com/a/round-ligament-pain
@hailees and @CaraBoonie thanks for your replies! I went to the ob last Thursday for some light blood but I wanted to get checked out just in case since I haven't had blood at all this pregnancy, and I was having weird sharp pains near where I would imagine my cervix is. they said my placenta is low lying and to abstain from sex until my anatomy scan (8/17) to see if it had moved at all. Idk if that could cause this pain, although I imagine it wouldn't. I just kind of feel really fragile. Like if I do too much when I hurt like that, something bad could happen. The pain will usually go away after a couple hours, but with my job I'm walking and standing for hours at a time and that's when I feel it most. I will definitely be asking my dr to check things out. Thanks
This morning i asked about pain in my cervix, but this afternoon i have a different query! Pain in cervix is gone (was inly mild). I now have pain (just mild pain, more tenderness, heavy feeling) what i would almost describe as my labia?! (Sorry, TMI!). If i press my labia, its as if the muscles below it have had a workout (kind of like the tender/swollen feeling of having too much sex, unfortunately though that is not the case! Lol). Anyone else had this?
