36 weeks

I'm 36 weeks, FTM. I went to my appointment today and my doctor told me I'm dilated to a 2, babies head measures 40 weeks, and she was to low to get a good view of her face on the ultrasound. She is also already over 6lbs. Any opinions on how long I have left? I don't want to get excited over nothing but I don't want to be unprepared either!

    If you are 36 weeks, I would estimate that you have 4 weeks left.

    And U/S can vary widely when estimating weight.

    as PP pointed out, id say you have at least 4 weeks left. u/s can vary greatly with regards to weight and you can walk around dilated for weeks.

    Agree with previous posts. As far as weight my baby was measuring 6p4oz at my 36 week scan (checking for presentation since baby had been breech) which is in the 51%. Sounds like an average sized baby to me. Plus u/s is highly inaccurate. You could stay 2 cm for weeks. Good luck
