Pitocin vs. Natural labor without epidural.

I was wondering if anyone had the experience of both? And if you did was pitocin much worse than natural contractions?

    I have had 3 births that gave pitocin and 2 without and yes contractions are worse with pit than they are without. I will not agree to pit unless absolutely necessary.

    I have had one with and one without. The pitocin contractions were worse. The natural contractions had the up and down arch that I learned about. With pitocin I would start to come down and another would start right back up. They were very irregular. I don't know if that is just me.

    I have only had pitocin so I don't have anything to compare it with but I know that I went from 0 to 60 with my contractions. I wasn't moving a long fast enough after they broke my water so they gave me that and I knew the second it started to work. My contractions were right on top of one another and they didn't have the gradual increase with the break in between anymore. It was very intense. I hope to avoid it if possible this time around. I was still in labor for hours though...

    Pitocin causes harder, but less effective, contractions compared to leaving things be. I would only be induced if it was absolutely necessary and even then Pitocin would be last the very resort.

    I hated pitocin! I mean I really hate that stuff! My contractions were horrible! I would only ever recommend it to someone if there was really no other option.

    I have had med-free births both with and without pitocin. For me the pitocin contractions felt a lot like natural ones but they do ramp up more quickly, whereas natural ones build more slowly. Aside from the faster pace, for me they weren't too different. For a lot of ladies pit contractions are less regular but my body handled it pretty well.

    Having natural contraction didn't hurt as bad.  To me the pitocin was like a roller coaster.  I went a day with pitocin because the cervidil (maybe misspelled) wasn't working for me.  My body would not relax enough for my cervix to dilate.  My cervix started to dilate but not as much.  It took an epidural after a day and a half for my body to really work.  When I went to sleep that's when my water finally broke.
