Can anyone recommend a place for fertility acupuncture in Atlanta?
If you had a good experience, what was it like? I've never done acupuncture before, and have no idea what it costs, or how it goes (aside from the obvious-- tiny needles, and relaxing). I've just had so many people suggest it, and I'm not opposed to it. I have a RE, and am gearing up for my second IUI. No infertility diagnosis (just starting to try, and I'm gay, so I can't DIY this with my spouse), but my blood tests do indicate low ovarian reserve.
Me- 39 (turning 40 in April), TTC for the first time ever (since Jan 2015), low ovarian reserve
Married 3/14/14 to my wonderful wife, but her sperm count is rather low
TTC with frozen donor sperm and science
7 IUIs, 7 BFNs. 2 IVF attempts, both cancelled and converted to IUI, both BFNs. Decided that my tired old ovaries are ready to retire. Next step- reciprocal IVF, using my wife's eggs, my uterus! fresh 5 day transfer (2 embryos) 4/17/17- BFP! Identical twins "due" 1/2/17 (but anticipated arrival sometime December)
Red Earth in Peachtree City is the best! David Toone really gets to know his patients and really knows his stuff. I've been seeing him for a couple of years for various non-fertility issues, and started up again after my first round of Ivf didn't work. He has been through his wife's pregnancies and knows what we're dealing with. I'm 13 weeks now and it's been pretty smooth sailing, so I give him lots of credit!
I went to RBA (dr Toledo) after 2 loses. I too was told I have low reserve (amh.09) who is your RE? I highly recommend dr Toledo. I'm currently 27w pregnant
It all depends on which part of Atlanta you're looking for. I recommend Intown Acupuncture in Decatur, GA. Kimberly Bonde is great and so easy to work with. She's very informative too. At my clinic I was told not to take any Chinese herbs. So you may want to check with your doctor before seeking acupuncture treatment. Some other acupuncturists will give you herbs to take and it may interact with the medication you're given for the IUI. Good luck!
Thanks! I followed @GeorgiaDottie's advice, partly because my doctor at GRA (and all the docs there) approve him and his herbs, which he sources locally. I think one risk with herbs is what when they come from overseas, they can be contaminated.
But I like him so far! And since my doctor not only approved of his herbs, but told me that all the patients they share have gotten pregnant, I'm doing the (nasty tasting) herbs, too!

@GeorgiaDottie-- my first IUI after starting acupuncture led to a BFN, but I'm still feeling encouraged. I had the best looking follicles so far this time! Also, I really feel like I'm experiencing fewer side effects than before, and hardly any cramps with AF this cycle.
So, I'm feeling hopeful. Gearing up for another IUI.

Thank you @Dot30324! I'm still not pregnant, but I'm gearing up for IVF in a few weeks, so hopefully that's the thing. I'm still getting acupuncture and drinking the terrible TCM herbs, so I feel like I'm doing everything I can!
