RH incompatibility

Just found out my blood is rh neg. Got my husband's blood tested to see what type he is. If he is neg too then no worries but if he is rh positive then theres a chance the baby is rh positive too. Getting a shot of rhogam tomorrow to prevent rh incompatibility as I've had some spotting. Anyone else in this situation or experienced this before??

    I am rh negative. They didn't even test my husband during my first pregnancy. I got the shot of RhoGAM at 28 weeks. They tested DS when he was born and he was the same so I didn't need the shot again after delivery. When I had a miscarriage in October, they gave me the shot again.

    I am Rh negative and my husband is Rh positive so I will get RhoGAM at 28 weeks and after delivery, unless I have bleeding, which hopefully is not an issue.

    I am too, but it's not a problem. You'll just get the shot at all the crucial points. One of my DDs was born with my negative blood, the other with DH's 'normal' blood.

    I am too... In my second pregnancy I had some bleeding mid pregnancy, so I received the shot prior to the 28week mark and after baby was born as well... You end up getting the shot regardless if your baby ends up being negative or not...

    Yep negative too. I have gotten so many shots from mc's and 2 live births (they both have positive blood typing) I heard about a fetal Rh genotyping test they can preform (from mother's blood) I am inquiring this next appointment about it. Esp since I have had so many of the RhoGam shots I don't like taking things if I don't need them.

    Yup, it's no big deal. You got it after spotting and you'll get it again at 28 weeks and right after delivery. Don't be worried, it's nothing scary.

    This is so common it is one of the first prenatal tests they do (before even US)... no biggie

    My doctor told me to make a little card for my wallet that says Rh negative, in case of an emergency.  I also try to make sure my dh knows the deal.
