Sleeping for almost 6 hours straight last night. Of course, I couldn't fall asleep until 2. But at least once I feel asleep, I got a good continuous amount!
Thankful my boss is letting me take the day off (an not as vacation or sick time) to relax and get rid of my cold. Baby's EDD is only a week away. Hoping to kick the cold to the curb so baby doesn't get sick!
Thankful for a healthy pregnancy so far and definitely for AC! I feel like I'm melting the second I walk outside and all my 2yo son wants to do is play outside!
The Bump - August 15' more than anything;) i deleted all forms of social media years ago and this is the only thing I regularly check non work related to keep me busy. Now that im pumping browsing the board will become more than a habit.
Thankful for an afternoon spent at the pool yesterday. It was awesome and relaxing. I don't really get a chance to just relax very often. Also thankful I will be able to take off after this weekend. working until almost 39 weeks was harder than I thought.
I am thankful for air conditioning.....It's supposed to be 103 here today $-)
This was exactly what I was going to say, minus the 103. Humid as hell though!
Either way...put a 9 month pregnant lady in the mix and it's no bueno! Also I'm so sick of hearing, 'OMG it's so hot outside you must be miserable'. Uh...yeah thank you Captain Obvious.
Grateful that I am able to work from home because today I can't even. Tomorrow, I will work half a day and then that's all she wrote until next August!
I am so very thankful for all forms of air conditioning - the window units in my house, the slow-to-get-cool but steady air conditioning in my car, the frigid wonderfulness of the air conditioning at work. If not for all of these, I would turn into soup.
Grateful I've had off from work all summer! I couldn't imagine working at this point in pregnancy all the mamas that are more power to you. I'm also so thankful my daughters ages 7&8 really have been more of a help than a handful all summer. Our family is super excited for our little prince to arrive 2 weeks from today
1) Thankful for a diaper party/baby shower thrown by our new church community.. only known them for 1.5 months or so since we just moved here. It's such a blessing since we just met them and feel so welcome already!!
2) Received a free new fitbit one which is motivating me to get 10,000 steps a day (roughly a 2 mile walk for me)
3) An ultrasound tomorrow to see what's happening with the baby, and to start my weekly OB appts
4) DH is a prepper and likes to be prepared, so I can rest assured pantry is stocked, all the house safety alarms are functional, and we have a hurricane evacuation plan. He gave me 8 numbers to call of various co-workers in case I start laboring and need to get a hold of him, and we have friends that volunteered to drop me off at the hospital if needed.
5) Although we are expecting to replace two of our 15 year old AC units and corresponding components, they will get us through the summer until we can schedule maintenance this winter. We knew about this going in and although its a huge finance ouch, it can be taken care of.
6) I looked up lactation cookie recipes and couldn't figure out how to get the obscure ingredients... and just made a bunch of oatmeal cookies instead for the freezer. I told DH they were all for me.
I'm thankful that this will be my last week of pregnancy. I will definitely enjoy and savor this week. But I have to be honest, after seeing all the adorable announcements (especially 6 this morning), I want the week to go flying by already!
I'm also thankful for AC, it's going to be a hot week! Also thankful that I'm finally done work, yay Aaand my bassinet is finally getting here this afternoon!
I'm really trying to be positive today. It's one of those days where I just want to bawl and complain about how I have another 3.5 weeks til my due date and I'm getting THOSE texts from people already.. doesn't help that I felt crampy Sunday-Tuesday and sparked the idea of labor occurring earlier (totally not happening). Either way...
1) Thankful for those people who do care about me and are thinking and praying for me and Baby S 2) SO THANKFUL that DH will be home tonight from his last work trip until after baby (yay! We made it!) 3) Thankful that 90% of my to do list is done! 4) My bosses and HR officially approved an additional 30 days on to my 12 weeks leave so I can be home with baby for 4 months!
I'm thankful for my MIL who came in from LA yesterday. . I was really worried about what to do with DD1 while I'm in the hospital. My mother's in Florida pretty tied up with my dad who's recovering from a stroke. I'd love if she could be here with me, but I'll take the help I can get. Plus, MIL isn't bad. She's super helpful and good with DD.
I am so thankful that my doctor decided to wait one more week to induce me. I wish I could keep this baby cooking longer but I'll take the time that I get.
I'm thankful that DH only made one joke about me thinking my water broke this morning when I really just peed myself. I was already embarrassed enough without having to listen to him make a million pee jokes. He really is maturing.
I'm also thankful that our little guy gets to cook for a little bit longer. I'm so ready to meet him but I know that it's best for him to wait another week or two to make his debut.
I'm thankful that even though my water broke over 24 hrs ago, and my uterus has not gotten the memo about this pitocin... My nurse is knowledgable, super sweet and very willing to pretty much let me do what I want. Also more than thankful that baby is tolerating the increases in pitocin just fine. I wish she weren't so comfy in there!
I am laughing so hard, and slightly embarrassed at myself. When I first opened this thread on my phone the gif was frozen with the ice cream in her mouth and I could only see the upper half of the picture... I was terrified for a brief moment as to what I had just clicked on..... so anyway, I'm thankful for this lovely weather, and that my family is having safe travels to ND
I'm thankful I doublechecked my due date with my doctor yesterday. He had me listed as 8/16 instead of the 8/22 I was told by my dating ultrasound. Apparently his paperwork was never updated (it is now). That extra week is going to be imperative, as I'm attempting a VBAC and I either go into labor on my own by the end of the 42nd week or it's an automatic csection.
@visualcircus I'm guessing that one of those ingredients was Brewers yeast? I got some on Amazon if that's an option for you in the future. Oatmeal cookies work too!

I'm thankful that I work at a call center job where I have "tenure", get paid a decent hourly wage and can lean back and slack a bit without my manager giving a crap. One day I had my shoes off and when he walked by I apologized and put them back on, he said "Oh I don't care, you're pregnant! Do whatever you want!" I haven't worn shoes at my desk since
The kidney specialist told me she is 99.9% sure Tanner won't be having surgery for his kidneys! I cried I was so happy! I finally feel like my normal self again (other then pregnancy symptoms) I'm just so glad things are turning around for me and my little man!!!!
Had a successful ECV, got baby girl to flip from breech to head down! No complications. It hurt like a b**ch but it was literally only about five minutes and we were done. Stayed about an hour and a half for monitoring and all is good. So glad.

I am thankful that things are going so smoothly at my new school. My Principal is amazing and is really looking out for me, my new teammates are so helpful and fun to be around, the kids have been great so far (although we are only two weeks in, so we'll see if that continues LOL), and I am extremely thankful that my commute is now only 20 minutes as opposed to 50!
I'm thankful that my very crazy energetic 19 month old is at least trying to make an effort to bond with his sister... LOL... her maybe not so much 8->
