Ready or not! UPDATED

So, got home from the day's activities, had a bit of a headache. Waited for DH to get home to check my BP and it was a bit high. Called the on call, who said "well, you'll probably just get some labs and send you home."

Well, get to L&D and my doc says "well, your BP is kind of high and you're already over 39 weeks...so we're just going to keep you here and start the induction"

So now we're just waiting on baby!

UPDATE:
So we got right to our room and got the pitocin started around 2140. I was already dilated about 2cm, so they were just going to let the pitocin work for a while before they tried anything else. Well, each time they checked, I had little changes here and there, but the contractions weren't really too bad so I didn't worry. I figured I'd just be there for a while. At my 0400 check, the midwife stripped my membranes to get things moving a little more. Man was THAT uncomfortable! Around 0530, the contractions started to pick up a bit and I was up to right around 4cm. My doctor had said that I could have an epidural or whatever I wanted whenever I wanted as long as I was progressing, so we made plans to place the epi around 0745-0800. It went right in, and my water broke on its own as soon as I laid back down! When she checked me again, I was still about 4 cm. So I decided to try to get a nap since I hadn't really slept yet. Well, at 11, she came back to check, and lo and behold, I was completely dilated and baby was on his way down! I started pushing around 12:15 and at 1301, baby Brandon made his way screaming into the world! I tore a bit because he came so fast, but dang am I glad I decided to go with the epidural. I had no idea I could dilate that fast in my sleep!

Had a little trouble breastfeeding at first (couldn't really get a good latch) but I was pumping colostrum like no one's business. The lactation consultant was working overnight and helped me out a whole bunch, and now me, DH, and baby Brandon are just happy as clams!

Sorry for such the long story...I mostly wanted to try to remember as much of it for myself as possible. :)
