Funny things you've already seen/felt baby do

During my last ultrasound she was looking normal when suddenly her feet flew up by her face.

Yesterday I was listening to some loud music in the car and she started kicking like crazy when a song came on with a lot of base. Baby girl must like lecrae as much as I do. :)

Has anyone else already gotten a good laugh out of something you've seen/felt your baby doing?

SO was leaving to go to work and leaned down to tell Goober he loves him. He then kissed where we had just seen him kicking. Came back up with his hand over his mouth and said Goober kicked him in the mouth. He still hasn't decided if he thinks it means "I love you too" or "go away and leave me alone."

  • We were getting our 3D And he started kicking himself in the head lol. He also jumps when there is a loud noise and pushes back against the ultrasound wand with butt. Little turd. Haha
  • He mooned us to show his bits in the U/S, then curled up and went back to sleep.

Whenever my cat lays on my lap, he "makes biscuits" on my belly, and baby sure doesn't like that, so he wiggles a lot. Can't really feel from the outside yet, but boy is that weird. Goofy feeling on the outside and inside! Usually I just move the cat so he can snuggle against my hip instead of on my lap!! Haha!
  • Mine likes to dance around when I have my music loud in the car.

Have you seen the movie The Fuzz? Your post made me think of the scene where he leans down to listen/talk to the baby and he gets kicked across the room. I tried to find a gif or short but all my searches came up with stuff from Hot Fuzz.
  • Feels like she likes to either randomly roll or flip over. But last night I was laying down and she started moving a lot. I told my SO that it felt like she was dancing or doing the drunk giraffe (any doctor who fans ;) ) so I put a little bit of music on to see if she would continue. She stopped with the first song I played but continued when a different song came on. Might have a little dancer?
  • During my very first ultrasound, he was dancing like baby Groot in Guardians of the Galaxy. So now his nickname is Groot. During my anatomy scan, he buried his face in my placenta and wouldn't turn. He moves a lot unless my husband puts his hand on my stomach...then he stops cold.

  • My LO had an erection during my anatomy scan yesterday lmao! Of course my H had some ridiculous arrogant things to say about it. Lol DH needs to get over himself! And yes ladies, it's completely normal and it's just what happens when baby boy's pee so I wasn't too surprised since this is my 2nd boy.
Ah the baby boy erections...  I think when it happens all husbands have to make some sort of ridiculous comment, they can't help themselves!!

  • At our anatomy scan today, our little boy kept playing with his ding-a-ling. It was very obvious and totally awesome, especially because DH (and all men, for that matter) is notorious for sending his hand down his pants at all times. Like father, like son, I guess!
  • I saw my twinnies today at my MFM ultrasound. Baby B was napping with her #1 finger up. Baby A was awake and wiggling around. It was very cute.
  • Had my 19 week ultrasound yesterday and baby wAs sticking her tongue out the whole time! Tech thought it was really cute :)!
  • Bubbles gave our MFM an ultrasound thumbs up following them putting in my cerclage (a baby gate for my cervix). I guess he approved Drs craftsmanship. ;)
And he kind of looks like one of the aliens from Mars Attacks in this pic.

DH said something arrogant as well when with all do respect its not like he has anything too out of the ordinary, had to tell him get over himself. Atleast now I know its a men thing.

Must be a guy thing. Baby's dad was very proud of the boy part size. Thankfully he didn't say anything about baby's scrotum until we were in the car.
  • During my ultrasound my son was upside down curled up and "playing with his penis" as the technician said- typical boy =))
  • Mine apparently gets his silliness from me...my pic was taken in March when I was only like 2-3 weeks pregnant and his was taken at his 20w US a couple weeks ago
  • At my anatomy scan, baby flipped at least 5 times (which means we couldn't get all the pictures, so we'll go back in a few weeks to try again). Now I have started noticing that my belly is crooked lol. Baby really likes laying on my right side, so that side will be visibly bigger. I've only recently started feeling baby move, so I still find everything it does in there hysterical.

Maybe your baby is stubborn and hates the ultrasound wand lol. Mine kept flipping and turning all around crossing his legs. Then he turned and put his butt up to the wand. I had to lay on my side to find out and he had to coaxed by the technician.

Baby is definitely stubborn lol. I tried moving, peeing, my DH and the tech both tried pushing on my belly (which made me laugh so hard). Nothing. Wedged itself right where we couldn't see anything lol

  • Next time try eating about 20 minutes before your appointment. I also drank a can of Coke with the food to make sure he would move around for us that time and I never drink caffeine anymore so he was all over.
    These stubborn babies. Lol
  • First of all baby is always on my lower left side (for ultrasounds and when I use my doppler at home) so I call him lazy baby :) However at our anatomy scan my husband was taking video of the monitor to send to family and he did a full flip, so I guess he's pretty active!

Our baby gave us the finger when the ultrasound tech when she checked out the baby's hands!
  • At my 16 wk check up, Baby kicked the Doppler every time Dr got close to the heartbeat! Even the Dr was laughing.
At my ultrasound yesterday, he was flipping, kicking & punching the whole time! My husband thought it was hilarious. One picture shows him with hands up (punching me) and both feet stretching out (kicking me) at the same time. I think I am in for a looooong pregnancy with this kick boxer!
  • I think my baby just really hates ultrasounds lol. He was uncooperative with his anatomy scan today and we may have to go back to get a better view of his heart if the dr can't use what we have. When the tech was done she tried to get s good shot of his face, he immediately turned his back and crossed his arms. Lol
  • Went in for check up and ultrasound yesterday. Doctor asked if Id felt any cramping / pain / any other issues. So I told her about the intense yet dull pain Ive had on my left side, right above my hip, that i feel babys feet kicking more central. I told her I wasnt worried about it since I knew everything was stretching. She did a doppler and baby was rolling all over, she said she had to chase him. so we would hear a few heartbeats and then WOOOSH and shed have to go find him again.
Due to the pain, & not being backed up, she had me do an extra urine test before I went nextdoor to the see the ultrasound tech. So they were doing tests with it to see if they could find anything, if they couldnt come to a conclusion, they were going to have me give a little blood later on, just to rule everything out.
So when I went to the Ultrasound, guess who was hanging out on my hip? Little Baby Boy doing a headstand pressed into my hip bone with his feet going from in his face and immediately flinging them out into the center of my belly, and his little hands and arms were all over the place too. but he didnt want to move from my hip. Ultrasound tech actually had to try rub on my stomach and move him from there to get good images, and then when she had him off my hip he just laid still for her until she was almost done and he moved right back to his little hang out spot on my hip.
Thankfully she saved the face shots for last, otherwise she said shed have had to get him to move a little again. & that didnt feel too great the first time, I swear he was fighting her a little bit while trying to move him.

  • I had a check up this morning and the OB kept laughing at how much Bun was kicking and wiggling around. I was surprised with having an anterior placenta how forceful it felt. Trying to find the heartbeat with the dipper Bun would kick at the sensor wand and the OB's hand so then the OB would giggle and say "yes, I feel you."
  • Our baby boy was on his head for the 12 week scan, I had to go back to the waiting room and wait for him to move position then go back in again, it did make the ultrasound technician laugh!
  • Our LO waved to us at the anatomy scan. That was pretty cool.

She also seems to love gospel music. She starts moving like she's dancing when ever I have gospel music on in the car.

I've been fascinated with both my pregnancies and what music each baby responds too. My son loved rock, especially 60'a rock and would relax if he heard Rush Limbaugh. This one with dance to techno and pop and mellows for the Beatles.
  • Little lady loves music. She gets very active when music she likes (?) is playing. Certain other kinds of music make her stop and listen (Mozart and Vivaldi specifically)

Her mom and dad are both musical so we're thinking she might be too!
  • I can finally post on this thread!

Our little girl was trying to suck her thumb during the anatomy scan. She kept missing her mouth and smackin' her little head! It was the cutest/funniest thing! I'm not very graceful so I'm just assuming she'll inherit that from me. Haha

Also, the tech would tell us what she was going to check next so we would know what we're looking at. Baby thought it was funny to change positions before the tech could get a measurement. The tech was so frustrated!! Little stinker.
