Cute ways to announce pregnancy... (2nd for me)

Were not quite ready to announce, but getting excited thinking about cute ways to do it! What have you done, or suggestions/plans? I am not sure if we will have to do it from a distance (we live away from family). We might try to make a trip back, and if that's the case then we will need to come up with a reason to get my family together over Labor Day weekend... (12 weeks that weekend).

Eh, family and all of our close friends already know, even bosses and some co workers know, so for the rest of the world I'm thinking of just posting the ultrasound to Facebook without a saying a word about it. We actually have never wanted to wait until 12 weeks, the chances don't drop so dramatically from week 7/8/9 until 12, from 5% down to 2%, so we felt comfortable sharing the news with immediate family and a few very close friends right away, then about week 6 we really started telling more people and now we are ready to go public. After tomorrow's ultrasound.

This probably is no good for you because it's your 2nd, but I am planning to surprise my parents by giving them a book called "You Can Call Me Hoppa". It's all about the different names grandparents can choose to be called. This will be their first grandchild and I might write in there that they have til March to choose their grandparent names!

We're telling my family this weekend on our beach vacay. I plan on having DS wear a shirt that says "BIG BROTHER" on it (which, coincidentally, I picked up in Target clearance for $3). For the rest of the world, I made a picture of DS wearing a batman shirt that says "Every superhero needs a sidekick, sidekick coming March 2016".

DS wore a big brother shirt to my parent's house so when my mom opened the door that was the first thing she saw. We wanted to do something 'big' since we didn't do anything last time (I was living with them at the time and husband was at basic training) but I've been so sick this was the best I could come up with...

We only told immediate family since I'm only 6.5 weeks and wouldn't see them again until September. I had a shirt made saying "Promoted to Big Sister" with her name underneath. We also made an eviction notice and had her give it to her Grandparents. I have NO clue how to tell the world creatively!

I love this! This is #4 for us and we have all boys now. I thought it would be cute to have the youngest be the one to announce saying he's a big brother now too!

We always put the smallest in a Big Brother/Sister shirt for family (especially hysterical when was pregnant with #2 bc they don't make big sibling shirts in 3mo sizes so we had to make is ourselves and both sets of grandparents thought it was a joke). On fb we have posted a pic of them wearing the shirts before. This time we posted the safety pins pic (like my avatar here) and this one of the kids taken at my first OB appt

The safety pin pic is so cute! Never seen something like that before!

I thought I didn't want to do any pic on Facebook or public announcement but cute ideas make me reconsider!!

I called myself Pregosaurus last go around so I might have to do something with dinosaurs this time. Like Daddysaurus, Pregosaurus, Biggestbrothersaurus, Bigbrothersaurus, Babysaurus. I don't know, might be really dumb.

Me and my husband are having a garden party in 2 weeks I'll be just over 10 weeks and we are getting a huge cookie made with baby Dobson due March 2016 on it, That way all our family find out at the same time and can celebrate together. We are going to announce to everyone else with a picture of the cookie on fb after my 12 week scan x

We asked my sister to take our picture (we were at an amusement park that day), and when she took the picture I held up a sign saying, "I'm pregnant!" My whole family was standing right there, they had the best faces! I only wish the picture was of their faces instead of ours

Oh man, I just blurted it out over the phone. I'm not really crafty or cutesy, and I'm a HUGE procrastinator, so I wanted to just tell people once we knew. Plus, we live across an ocean (we're in Hawaii, families are on the mainland) and we wouldn't be seeing them in person to say it.

When we went on our vacation to San Fransisco we found a onesie and had another random tourist take a pic of us holding it while standing in front of the bridge. We sent it to each of our family members with the quote 'Guess whose going to be a grandma, auntie etc.)??? It was so fun looking for the onesie and getting the pic taken ... After about 20 failed selfie attempts. When we announce it publicly I'm not sure what we will do yet. (Btw it's my pic on TB now because I was dying to post it somewhere and FB was not the place... Yet.)

Okay I realize this sounds morbid, but I think I will announce either on my MC's EDD (10/13) or National MC & Infant Loss Day (10/15) or if I can hold it in I will wait until Halloween. We will be well out of the woods at that point (18+2wks) and maybe we will know the gender too :-)

I was thinking of doing something with pumpkins, I love the Fall!

I think it would be touchy to announce on Loss Day since people you are announcing to might have had a loss you don't know about. But announcing on your MC EDD is not really morbid. Maybe it's kind of nice, how on that milestone you are now celebrating good news. Halloween would be cute too, like with a family of jack o lanterns!

I think we are going to try and wait to announce it to the world until October 10th because that is our anniversary. @bntfroggie A friend of mine did a pumpkin reveal and it was adorable. I love the fall as well...hence the fall wedding.

It's our first baby. Nicknamed her Ziggy (Zygote) ... No clue how to announce it to family. My mom and dad aren't together. I took three pregnancy tests so I might give one to each? Is that gross?

Lol yes, that's something you peed on.
Maybe a #1 grandma/grandpa coffe mug, an ultrasound pic once you get one, or maybe just telling them. They'll be excited for you, you don't necessarily have to tell them with a gift.
