Mine goes to my co-worker, who I'm also really good friends with. It's a long story, but she's driving me absolutely insane because she cannot let go of her old job, which is now my job (since February). I handed everything over to a co-worker for maternity leave so he'd have a month or so to ask me questions. She keeps butting in telling him how to do it "correctly" and questioning everything I have done up to this point. It's not your job anymore - let it go! I was doing well with separating our work relationship from our friendship outside of work, but this week, I have had no interest in seeing her or talking to her. The countdown to maternity leave is definitely on!
My in-laws.. They randomly showed up at my house while baby and I were trying to sleep! I only got 3 hours of sleep last night, so I am NOT in the mood. And they're pissy bc I won't let them hold her. Her dr said only mommy and daddy could hold her until she had been vaccinated bc she was born so early and has such a weak immune system. And I know they're not the cleanest people. I would never tell them that, but that's the truth. FRUSTRATED!
My husband, his company and I guess, technically myself for agreeing to this whole f#$king mess: I'm 36-5 and we're packing up to move 800 miles and several states away. We got word DH would be receiving a promotion/transfer back in the spring, but his company couldn't tell us when! The first week of July we find out they had to wait for the new fiscal quarter, but still no hard date. Friday night, they tell us if he wants to accept the promotion, he needs to be there to start either August 2 or August 16, even though we've been VERY vocal about our due date (20th) and his plan to take 3 weeks paternity leave. Sitting here packing alone, because today's his last day, the moving truck comes tomorrow, we leave Thursday. Seeing my LO's stuff in boxes is stressing me to the max. And today we find out LO is still breech. If we want to attempt an ECV, it has to be done in the 37th week. We don't even have a new damn OB yet to schedule it in the city....fml.
Forgot to add my obnoxious, anti-vax in-laws as well, bitching about mine and DH's decision to limit contact in the beginning, unless they update their major vaccinations. 7 people living under 1 roof. During cold and flu season. In the upper Midwest. And they work jobs where they're in contact with tons of different people each day. MIL is now sending me anti-vax book suggestions EVERY DAY.
Not risking it with a newborn, but also not in the mood for a fight.
.....oh and the dog paces the floor and his nails click and I want to cut his feet off....
@classychik85 Yes! This exactly!! I have two and the sound of their nails makes me lose my mind! I even trimmed their nails yesterday and then heard them pacing all night. I'm considering making them wear socks until baby comes...
our receptionist who always watches me walk up one flight of stairs and comments how she can't BELIEVE i'm not taking the elevator-isn't he so heavy??? like i'm an invalid because i have a big belly. and she said to me today "you are looking REALLY pregnant...i can tell you are close cuz your nose got big!!" ok, 1, things to never say to a pregnant lady, 2, thanks for pointing out the insecurity i've had about my nose for a trimester now (i think it is legit bigger but who SAYS that???)
lady, just go back to reading at your desk...i actually have a buttload of work to do before my leave...
My flat tire I got yesterday is a twatwaffle. It was apparently so damaged they couldn't repair it, and beacuse we have all wheel drive and the tire place didn't have anything to match our tires tread we had to buy 4 new tires. Spending $1100 dollars on new tires right before we have a baby is not cool. You're such a twatwaffle flat tire!
I nominate ants as twatwaffles today. We have had a ton of rain, so we are getting stupid little ants in the house. I have been cleaning like a maniac, the bug guy has been here three times in the last few weeks, and we're still seeing them daily. I do not handle bugs in my house well at all, let alone being 38 weeks pregnant, hormonal and emotional.
I'm a twatwaffle. I waited until I'm 38 weeks pregnant to finally change my last name (we were married September last year). I somehow developed the most outrageous diarrhea for the last two days and I can feel that I'm dehydrated. And now I'm sitting in a packed social security office waiting room feeling lightheaded, and I forgot my water bottle at home.
ETA: just dawned on me... The diarrhea means I'm either in labor or its starting any second right?! It's about to get real interesting in this waiting room. Excuse me while I go recruit a catcher...
I did the exact same thing at 38 weeks! DH and I have been married for 4 years and I decided to get it done before our DS arrives. I was in the Social Security office all of 10 minutes before I started getting contractions and nausea followed by the feeling that diarrhea was on its way too. I refused to leave though and waited for the hour and a half it took to get everything done. Two days later, the contractions stopped and now I'm almost 40 weeks and still pregnant :-( kind of makes me think that, before they induce me, I should try heading over there and seeing if it starts things up again lol

We get those little microscopic ants from time to time, and I hate them too! We live in a very wooded area, and somehow, while driving with Hubby, a roach got on me! IN THE CAR!!! I didn't mean to, but I screamed and smacked it off. My husband got on me at first cause I scared the crap out of him while he was driving, lol but when I was literally in tears over it, he felt sorry for me. ;p I mean I know there are roaches outside (we live in Fl) But I never dreamed there could be one in my car!! I freaked right out, and for some reason could NOT get over it. I think the experience scarred me for life..

Oh my, that would be awful! At least you weren't driving when it happened! I'm in FL too, so I know bugs of all kinds are just part of life here, especially in the summer and with all the rain, but I can't handle it!

My DH is a pest control guy. He hates ant calls because, really, there is absolutely nothing your bug guy can do about your ant problem unless he knows where the colony is. It sucks, but unless he can find the colony on a clear day and kill them from the source, they're probably just going to keep coming back.
Sometimes poison baiting them works, but most of the time that doesn't kill them all, so you're just have ineffective treatments, most likely.
I give the award to one of my bosses at work. Her position is to "guide us" not tell us what to do and she is constantly giving me and other employees her work. She says it called "delegation." Oh and she has to get wrist surgery and be on light duty, such as I am for being 9 months pregnant and she had the audacity to say going on light duty means youre lazy to me....
My in-laws are starting to become total twatwaffles! We lost our first son to SIDS at 1 month about a year ago and now my in-laws are fighting over who gets to come down first. (We live in north carolina, they live in Michigan) They both want to be here before he turns a month old "in case it happens again" as if I'm not stressed out about that enough by myself without people actually being vocal about it. Also, if they are already fighting each other to come down are they planning on fighting me when I will be a total nutcase about holding my new baby and possibly not be letting anyone else even touch\hold him (ps I realize this is an exaggeration but still)? Bah! Can't people just listen to when we would like visitors? This pregnancy has been stressful enough!

I hate the feeling of being in public and not knowing if I'm going to need the restroom which was right next to the waiting area... And my episodes were not quiet. At all. But hey... If that kind of stress brings in the contractions for you... Could be worth it at 40 weeks!
@saralovessunshine I'm really sorry you had to go through that. Your inlaws are definitely being twatwaffles. Take as much time as you need after baby gets here to feel comfortable and your inlaws can deal with it.

I just wanted to let you know how incredibly sorry I am; we had some very close friends lose their baby to SIDS. Take as much time as you need to feel comfortable with others being around. Thinking of you!
@saralovessunshine they definitely win the twatwaffle trophy! I am so sorry for your loss. I can't even imagine the heartache you must have gone through (and still go through), but I hope you are able to enjoy this new baby who will be joining your family and try not to stress too much (I know, easier said than done).
@GirlOnTheBeach Just an ironic update... Maybe you're on to something with the social security office... Because my water just broke about an hour ago. No contractions though so I may go back to get things moving.
@Miz_Liz I have to nominate you for my Anti-twatwaffle award. I've had such bad heartburn at night lately that I was not sleeping more than an hour or two at a time. Then last night I remembered how you were a fan of the ACV method. That shit burned so badly going down, I was cursing your name. And then I had the best nights sleep I've had in weeks! And since, as mentioned, my water broke today... I could be in for a long day/night and the rest was well needed. You saved my delivery day! :x

Yay!! Good luck Mama!! Keep us posted and I am glad you got some sleep!!!!

So sorry you went through this and are dealing with this now. I would be letting them know how insensitive they're being, and that you will invite them into your home when you are good and ready. The last thing you'll need is hovering in-laws when you're taking care of your new sweet baby and are already nervous and anxious. I just can't believe that they're vocally causing drama in this situation. Very thoughtless.
My 17 year old son and stupid fat cat both win it this week. 3 days in a row i asked him to clean the litter box before he left for work and he conveniently ran out of time. 3 days in a row I cleaned up cat poop from our picky cat who'd have no part of that nasty litter box while my son was conveniently at work, so i'm out there on my hands and knees in her special "you didn't clean my box" spot in the dining room cleaning it up as fast as i can to ensure the twatwaffle dog doesn't clean it up for me.
