Crazy dreams (5 weeks)

is anyone else having crazy dreams? Mine started the minute my other symptoms did (cramping, sore boobs) and they have been ruining my sleep! Please tell me I'm not alone!

Re: Crazy dreams (5 weeks)

  • Yeap ive been having really vivid dreas since 4.5 weeks, now 7w and am still having 2-3 wierd as dreams per night. Apparently it goes away around the time your other symptoms disapear (something to do wth hormones balancing) so probs another few weeks to go!

I've always had very vivid crazy dreams, so who knows if being pregnant has made things worse! But last night I hopped out of bed screaming because I thought there was a mouse in the bed. I woke myself up when I turned on the flashlight app with my phone to look for it under the covers. My poor DH lol.

  • Exactly! I keep dreaming I'm covered in cockroaches. I have NEVER seen one in my apartment so I don't know where this is coming from. (This is what I get for living in Manhattan). Thanks guys

Omg wait until you have a newborn. We don't even co-sleep but I would wake up from a dream (nightmare) where i swear DD was under the blankets suffocating. I would tear the bed apart in a panic to then realize it wasn't real. What a mind f*ck!

Mine haven't gotten too crazy yet (almost 7 weeks) but I usually get similar strange dreams at the beginning of my period. It must be hormonal!
  • My dreams have been ridiculous every night for the past few weeks, and they are such a roller coaster of emotions. Last night I had a dream where I could feel my baby's heartbeat. It was amazing. That was then followed my a horrible nightmare involving my grandma's basement and ghosts! I've had a lot more nightmares since being pregnant :(

  • Well I am having a ton of sexy dreams. Last night's included Luke Bryan. Lucky me, except it is totally awkward waking up with my husband afterwards. Haha
  • Ive been having lots of sexy dreams, although i think its b/c i have a high risk pregnancy my midwife has banned sexy times until 12 week scan! Arrg 5 more weeks to go poor DH!
  • @clairemwalker I totally understand where you are coming from. I was high risk from day 2 until the day they induced me at 37 weeks last time. I think we might have had sexy time twice my entire pregnancy. DH was such a trooper. Even after the baby he had to wait another 12 weeks because 1. I had 35 stitches 2. We found out at 9 weeks I had retained part of the placenta and had to have surgery. Poor guy. Keeping our fingers crossed that this pregnancy stays as smooth as it has been. Enjoy the sexy dreams in the meantime, mine are usually always with celebrities.
  • I originally attributed it to needing to rapidly decrease my amitryptiline but its been 7+ weeks now, its long out of my system and the bizarreness continues.

Last night I was at an odd wedding pregnant as can be and someone told me I looked lovely in my dress.  Then again I was trying to wear two shoes on each foot because I couldn't decide between cream and navy.  First world problems yo!

Wow I did this too.  I NEVER nursed overnight in bed but I would wake up so many times digging through blankets trying to find my boys.

  • As soon as I laid down last night I had a quick dream food was falling from the sky and I asked my husband out loud if he got his mashed potatoes. Then I cracked up when I realized I actually asked him outloud.
