Any other crossfitters out there?

Hi!
I'm 5 weeks along and I've been crossfitting for 1 1/2 year now. I told my coach I was pregnant so we can adjust the WOD. So far, I didn't have to scale down anything. I just feel out of breath faster than before. I know it's a little bit crazy, but I'm scared to do burpees. I MC last March and want to make sure I don't slam my belly on the ground. I think I'll get over it once I see my doc on the 24th and he confirms that everything is going well.
I wanted to know if there is anything you think I really shouldn't do. I know at the second trimester I shouldn't do exercises where I am lying on my back and no kipping either. Anything else?

I was a crossfitter with my first until morning sickness got the best of me and I couldn't get through any WODs.  I was doing burpees but at some point I started to scale them, and then I scaled box jumps to step ups.

I have had lots of friends go to crossfit all the way up to birth, still doing a lot of things but just scaling back intensity and weight.  I can imagine hand stand push ups and walks wouldn't be too smart.

Yep still doing Crossfit during my pregnancy. I'm currently in the states on business and I visited a box, and they had this great poster that they posted! I'll try to attach it here. Basically what they told me at this box (as my box doesn't know I'm pregnant and I don't plan on telling my box until I'm at least 12w) is that I should be able to keep a conversation with someone during the workout. Just don't want the heart rate to get too high. I'm 6 weeks currently. Why no kipping? I did kipping pull ups yesterday but if that is a no no I'll stop for sure. I'm also not going to be maxing out any of my lifts or anything like that and keeping my weights within 80-85 percent. I plan to stop the Olympic lifts once I begin growing and showing as I don't want to change my bar path and have poor technique because of it. It would require swinging the bar out to compensate and I don't wanna do that (for technique and safety reasons).

Glad to see some other crossfitters here!
  • Love the poster! I think you're not suppose to kip at your second trimester because it's the same position as lying flat on your back and it's not good for the baby.
I'll get over my burpees fear... hehehe... I really don't like them, so I was happy to find an excuse not to do them.
