Low hCG

Hi there.

Little background...I am 5 weeks 1 day today. This is technically my 4th pregnancy. My first two resulted in miscarriage, 3rd was successful and have a healthy 19 month old girl, and now this baby.

Wondering if anyone has had their hCG tested up till now. My numbers are low...65 and then 168 after 48 hours. My nurse said the important thing is that the numbers are rising appropriately (which they are). But I am still nervous because of my history with miscarriages. I go again Wednesday for more testing.

I could use encouragement.

    I'm in the same boat with you. Currently 5 weeks, 2 days. I had my betas last week...110 for the first and 275 two days later. I also have to go again Wednesday to make sure they are rising properly. When you look at any chart for normal HCG levels for five weeks, it ranges from 18 to 7,340. Four weeks is only 5 to 426. Maybe some of us are on the lower end because of late implantation. Who knows? I've always heard the actual number doesn't matter as long as it's doubling every two days. Hope you see a good rise in Wednesday!

    Your numbers more than doubled! That is great! I wouldn't stress!

    I'm with you ladies. On July 18th 72, 4 days later 140, 2 days later 172, then yesterday 735. The range is so wide it's confusing. Going in for an ultrasound next week, so we'll see what's up. Good luck Wednesday. Hope the numbers go up!

    I'm also in this boat.
    Last Thursday my HCG was 175, this Monday it was 550. The nurse said it should have been around 700. I go back in tomorrow for another draw.

    My levels were 48 then 122. I saw a healthy baby with a heartbeat at 6 weeks. I to am nervous and scared but I just keep praying.

    DD born 2/22/12

    TTC # 2 since 7/12

    DX- PCOS. Currently upping Metformin dosage and preparing to meet with RE 9/5/13.

    Ist medicated cycle September 2013-BFN

    1st IUI November 2013-BFP Chemical Pregnancy

    2nd IUI December 2013-BFN

    3rd IUI January 2014-BFP! Due 10/31/2014

    Levels double every 2 to 3 days. I've had mine checked 4 times. My doubling rate was every 2.5 days. Not everyone doubles every 2 days, sometimes it's every 3 days. :)

    @cataleya82 ... That's what I thought but my dr said they like every 48hrs! Not everyone is textbook!!

    They need to double over 48-36 hours according to most of the material ive looked up, so as long as they go up by 70% in two days should be good. I got tested at 5.5 weeks and it was 15,000 and 2 days later it was 28,820 so not quite doubled but 3 weeks later and my scan showed a healthy heartbeat!

    I did the math and mine is rising 78% every 48hrs.
