First ultrasound heartbreak

I should have been 13w 2d according to my LMP. Doctor starts the ultrasound..nothing. Says we need to to a vaginal ultrasound...all we see is an empty sac measuring about 6 weeks. He tried to be positive and say it could be a healthy pregnancy with the wrong dates, or of course a missed miscarriage. I know I'm not 6 wks, because it's been about that long since I've had sex. So I have a follow up appointment next week in which they've also blanked out a slot for me a few hours late should I be forced to "make a decision.

I'm absolutely heartbroken right now, and seeing the life fade from my husbands face when we stared at the screen was the worst thing I've ever had to experience.

I'm so sorry. It's really not fair. When you're ready, you might to just check out the miscarriage board. That board was so much help to me when I had my missed miscarriage. I hope you have all of the support that you need and I wish you all the best. Take care.

I've been through the exact same thing and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. The heartbreak is devastating. I promise it gets better though. Just take the time you need to heal.
