Prenatal vitamins

Looking for a prenatal vitamin that will be gentle on the stomach. Any preferred brands?

Re: Prenatal vitamins

  • I've been taking the Wegman's store brand and they haven't messed with my stomach yet. The nurse suggested prenatal gummies when I went in for my pregnancy confirmation appointment.

I have been using Nature Made vitamins and while they do not hurt my stomach they are huge. I was thinking about switching to something else

  • The Target brand gummy ones are great! They're the only kind that don't make me nauseous.

  • I have loved New Chapter! Had them with my first and just continued taking them. Super gentle and all natural.
  • I'm usually pretty sensitive to vitamins but for some reason the One A Day prenatals worked fine for me last pregnancy.

I sent my husband out for some and he came back with the nature made. They are huge! But I guess I'll continue and see how they settle.

With My DD I tried 3 different brands then gave up, so far so good so far. I guess I will see in a few weeks when ms tends to kick in for me.
  • I take Honest Company whole food vitamins. I took them last time as we'll. they have come out with a one a day since my last pregnancy, but I like the originals. They are pretty big and you have to take 3 a day, so that could be a turn of.

3x a day??!! Yikes. I can barely choke down one large vitamin.
  • They are pretty large. I do all three at once somehow.

  • I take Deva brand vegan prenatals plus a separate Deva vegan DHA.  Neither of them smell horrible or make me gag, and they don't upset my stomach.

  • I tried so many brands when I was pregnant with my son and the only vitamins that didn't make me feel sick were Flintstones vitamins and my doc said they are just as good just take two instead of one. So this time around I'm just staying with Flintstone vitamins.
