When you're pregnant or have a newborn it's all you want to talk about! And i remember getting bored when my friends would only talk about their babies so it takes all my stregnth to talk about something else, but it's ok cause i am a part of this is community full of people like me who love to listen and share and i can go nuts here!
I've gotten a lot of support and great advise here, i really do love you guys
I think I would be going stir crazy without this board. I love DS but he won't let me put him down for most naps. So I rock him in our glider and go on the bump on my phone. If it wasn't for this I would just be watching more greys anatomy than I already do.
I didn't come on here a lot while pregnant. I hated it when it was just tons of rude comments. Plus I just didn't have the time. I was working full time and other than checking in on my lunch break I wouldn't go on. When I would comment I felt like I was being criticized for not being on more often. It felt like there was a small circle of people who were on regularly and if you weren't one of those people then you weren't welcome to ask a question.
I'm sure once DS is awake more often I won't be on very much. I only bump when he's sleeping. But I do enjoy it during this stage especially Thanks ladies!
Everyone here is so down to earth. We tell it like it is but in a pleasant way. I admittedly jumped over to the June board for about a week. DD was due May 23 but born June 1 so a lot of the May discussions are a bit ahead of where we are developmentally. But, after a few days of lurking in June, I realized how much I missed learning about what's to come in the upcoming weeks from you May mamas.
I love hearing the voices of so many women. I love the way we support each other and speak our hearts. It is unique and powerful to be connected to other mothers while going through this intensely beautiful moment.
I don't know what I'd do without this board! I don't have any friends with kids and no family nearby with kids, and a lot of our parents' advice is outdated so it's so awesome to have this resource. It makes going through all this a lot less lonely and intimidating.
