What a marathon!!!! Labor begun Thursday at 8pm. After contractions got down to under 8min and 1min long we decided it was time to book it 50min down the road to be with our surrogate. As we got there labors started to tank down to 15min apart. After a 4mile walk at 2 in the morning contractions were 5min apart and 45sec long. Called the MW and went to triage. After an NST, ultrasound, and medical foreplay... she was 2cm dialated... pain meds and sent home
ugh. We had an appointment scheduled for 2:45pm Friday so we went in after during consistent 70-90sec contractions 3-4 min apart. YESSS! 4cm dialated 90 effaced!!!!! Admitted to L&D... long spell of 70-90sec long contractions 3 min apart and getting very strong. We got her situated in the jacuzzi and helped stem the pain for another hour! Then when pain was no longer bearable she had her planned epidural and soon was finally resting comfortably. At 8:25 pm she was fully dialated and his head was nearly crowning... GET THIS... with the amniotic sac still intact!!!! (Mermaid baby they tell me it's called) incredible! So they broke the waters and in 4 pushes we had our little boy in our arms!!!!! Waited for the cord to stop pulsating and then an hour of Skin-to-skin so precious I'll never forget!
Surrogate is doing so great and so very happy her leg of this journey is over.
Baby is healthy and scored 8 then 9 Apgar
