I was telling my best friend how I was going to be basically living in my swimming pool as soon as I went on maternity leave and she looks at me really confused and says "but I thought you can't use a pool when you're pregnant, wouldn't that drown the baby if water went up inside?" =P~ I had to tell her in the nicest way possible how wrong she was without laughing in her face, poor girl
This reminds me of a similar conversation I had with a friend who was pregnant. She was complaining about how achy she was and whatnot. I suggested she take a bubble bath and she said nope, can't take baths when you're pregnant, the baby won't survive.
Not due to drowning but a friend thought I wasn't allowed to take baths because I'd boil the baby. I was like how hot of baths do you take???
Re: Educating Others About Pregnancy
The pee goes into the amniotic fluid and keeps cycling around and the poop ideally comes after birth (it's called meconium). ;-)
I told him that if we have a 12lb baby. That I was going to cry.
