What name(s) were your parents considering for you? Did mom beat out dad for naming rights when he suggested Heathanie because he couldn't choose between Heather and Stephanie?
My mom thought about naming me Candace before she chose my name. If I was a boy I would've been Jesse, however my dad really wanted to name me Wolfgang if I was a boy....
Also, my middle name was almost Jade.

My dad wanted to name me Athena. He still jokingly calls me that on occasion. But my mom wanted to name me Erin after the actress on Happy Days, Erin Moran. my mom won.
Uh, my name would have been Indiana if my dad would have gotten his way. They compromised and named me Logan. He still pretty much got his way I guess.
I don't know what I would have been named if I were a boy. God only knows.
If I was a boy, the name that they had chose together was Tyson or Craig. The name my dad really wanted (and fought for, for all three kids), was Ot.to Duck.ery. The Duck.ery was a family name on his side. He never got to use it.
The other names they had picked out for me was Bridget and Corinne
Kyle was almost my name regardless of sex. It's my mom's maiden name. Thank god I'm not a female Kyle! Supposedly when my mom was in labor they saw a commercial with Lindsay Wagner, and liked the named so when I came out as a girl, they used it instead of Kyle.
Other names that were considered for me were Alexandra nn Allie and Olivia. My dad wanted to name me Nicole but my mom hates Nicky...they compromised and used it for my middle...he still calls me Nicky
If I was a boy, my sister wanted to name me Brandon and my parents were going to go along with it...I'm glad I wasn't a boy!!
My dad wanted Samantha, but my mom didn't want me to be called Sam, so Samantha is my middle name. If I was a boy, I would be Christian.
I was almost Samantha and they liked the nn Sam... but we had a dog named Sam and they didn't want to yell "Sam!" and have both me and the dog turn and look

I would have been named Stevie if my grandma didn't have her say in helping to name me. My mom even said she considered Xanadu (spelling?) after an 80's music group or something like that?? Thank goodness I got away with neither of those names.

If I'd been a boy, I would've been a third. They couldn't decide on girl names, so they had a different name for each day of the week and whatever day I was born on would be my name. I should have been Wendy, but once I was here my mom cried that she "didn't want a Wendy."
My name is Victoria but if I were a boy I would have been Christopher. Strangely enough my father is Victor and I don't understand why they would use Victoria for a girl but not Victor for a boy.
My mom said she considered Shelby (wut) and Summer for me (August baby). They ended up going with Shannon.
My middle name was what they debated on- Mom wanted Marie like her middle name, dad wanted Gian which I'm pretty sure he made up (pronounced like Jeanne, jee-ann). They couldn't agree so I got both, Gian Marie.
If I was a boy I probably would have been named Kyle, which is my younger brother's name.

Gian is the Italian version of John (but I believe it is pronounced just like John, not jee-ann). Also, I love the name Shelby! Probably because I have a friend named Shelby who is an absolute sweetheart, and because it reminds me of Steel Magnolias.
If my mom would have won I'd be Kantishna (spelling?). It's a lake in Alaska but thankfully I'm not that or my dad's pick Sarah even though I do occasionally get called that by accident. My name is Sierra and I love it.
I would have been Stephen as a boy (and my younger brother got the name). Mom wanted to name me Angela, Dad said no. Mom suggested Laura, and dad said spell it Lora, like his grandmother. (The one who ran away and got pregnant at 14. Yeehaw, that's my namesake). And that is why my name is spelled wrong. And I hate it. And my siblings all got normal spellings. As a kid, I always dreamed about changing it to Laura when I go older. Granted, my motivation was so that I could buy stupid trinkets at souvenir shops with my name on them. By the time I was old enough to change my name, I didn't want that crap anyway
I was almost named Stevie Marie, but then my mom decided she wanted K names, because her name starts with a K. So, my sisters and I all have names that start with a K, and end in ie. Our middle names start with a B, because our dad's name starts with a B. I won't be following this trend. Haha.
If I was a boy, I would have been Nicholas Wayne.

My father was vetoed on both Melissa and Sara but apparently he really fought hard for them both, particularly Melissa. My mom liked Marcie, which my dad hated.
If I had been a boy, my dad says I would have been Sterling. My maiden name is Silver.
My parents are jerks. My sister almost came out a Tia Maria.
I was supposed to be Elizabeth Marie after my grandmothers. My cousin was born a few months before me and was named Elizabeth Marie. If I was a boy, I would have been Tyler David.
I was Krista for a day before someone mistakenly called me Crystal and my mom decided "nope, don't want people calling her that!" and changed it to Kristen. If I had been a boy, my name would be Steven.
My dad wanted to name me Abby, but my mom vetoed it cause she didn't want "just a nickname" and not the full "Abigail." If I was a boy, I would've been Zachary James.

Asia was my Mom's top pick, but my Dad straight up refused. Apparently it was quite the battle. I'm so glad my Dad won that fight.... WTF Mom...
ETA: uh, hayyyy guise. I've recently started lurking baby names. So much youneekness.
The only other girl name she considered was Mia. I don't hate it but I can't imagine that as my name. So not me -uh. Lol.
