  • Having Qdoba tonight and possibly sushi tomorrow. I'm one happy pregnant lady.

  • So I may have eaten some cookie dough while making cookies.. And made an entire thing of brownies just because I wanted brownies.. Thank goodness my BIL is staying with us tonight to help put the TV on the wall mount!! I would probably eat the whole pan.. And I wouldn't regret it either!!!

  • I had chai and a chocolate frosted donut for breakfast this morning (not the first time, won't be the last). I had a grape soda around lunch time and was told by one of my co-workers that I shouldn't drink soda. Uhhh, is this YOUR baby? I don't think so. I'll drink the grape soda, thanks. At least it was caffeine free.

I have never heard soda is bad.. That doesn't mean it isn't but I haven't heard soda is bad for pregnancy.

I think it's probably just that it's not good for you in general, not that it's specifically bad during pregnancy.  I have been trying to mostly drink water myself, but I don't shy away from the soda if that's what I want and I haven't yet hit my caffeine threshold for the day (if applicable).

That's pretty much been me.. If I just can't take anymore water I'll drink some soda to switch it up.. And I know sodas bad for you but sprite taste so good!!
  • Food threads are the reason I'm nervous for my GD test.
I just want carbs and sugar. :((

    Pregnancy Ticker
  • Also, on team eat what I want for the most part. BUT one of my favorite things to snack on is cookie dough. Finally found a safe alternative at Whole Foods. :)
  • I'm on team back sleeper. I'm taller so LO has had more room to grow and I haven't noticed any problems yet even though I'm 24 weeks. I try to sleep on my side but if that's getting too uncomfortable I will try lying on my back.

I haven't cheated too much with food, but I have my GD test on Friday so we'll see if I actually have been cheating.

I'm with you. 5'11 with a long torso, and baby is a low rider. I've had no issues whatsoever. But if I do I am usually a side-sleeper anyway...
Baby number 1 on the way!

  • Team Eat All The Foods. Ive cut out caffeine because I'm prone to high blood pressure anyway (I also needed to cut back anyway, and besides if my tolerance drop then it might actually work to keep me functional when Sprout arrives) and I just dont have any desire for alcohol, but I will still be cooking my steak medium rare, I will eat all of the deli turkey, I will eat my body weight in all of the cheeses, and I will continue to enjoy my food. I'm loving the fact that I still have an appetite and still want to eat all the same foods as usual; when I was expecting kiddo1.0 I picked at food and basically lived on toast.

Excuse my ignorance, why is sleeping on your back cheating? xx

Thinking the same thing as I lay on my back in bed reading TB. I also sleep on my stomach a lot, glad I can too
Its recommended you dont sleep on your back when your further along because the weight of the baby and your uterus can cause problems or discomfort not exactly sure youd have to google :) but laying on your left side is apparently the best as it creates a good blood flow for the placenta

  • My cheat is definitley subway and a coke

Have to say, like so many others on this thread: I'm team eat what you want. Good news (or bad news, depending on how you look at it) is that pregnancy has given me serious food aversions to most things unhealthy, but I love turkey sandwiches, and chicken salad... I think it's too hot outside to eat hot food.

I also sleep on my stomach... DH thinks I'm squishing baby, but I figure I'd get uncomfortable before it's a real problem.

I've been feeling guilty but I've cheated a lot :(
    Chili cheese hotdogs = heaven
    Cokes
Lunch meat/ Mr Goodcents more times than I can count
    Charcuterie plates (fn yum)
One rooster booster energy drink from quiktrip
One sip of sangria ( my mom was lucky I didn't chug the whole thing after that one heavenly taste)

I totally forgot that I've had a nibble of raw cookie dough (twice) and licked the brownie batter spoon. A girl's gotta live a little.
