Anyone still enjoying being pregnant at all?

aside of the evenings and trying to sleep, I actually really am still enjoying my days and feel pretty good once I'm up and moving around… Enjoying my walks, shopping, TV time, yummy food, feeling my little one move, getting lots of attention from family friends and strangers… Guess it's not so bad! Trying to be patient and positive at 39.3 (FTM) :x

Re: Anyone still enjoying being pregnant at all?

  • I wish. 39.6 and getting weary. Not enough room for baby. Achy, sore, sometimes numb. And oh the moods and anxiety! It was different with baby #1. I was fine until the end (5 days before due date) but #2 is giving me a harder time.

Sorry to hear @lovlee1999 :( I thought maybe it got easier after the first one… I probably will never know I'm going to be one and done. I'm 35 almost 36, husband is 37 almost 38 so we are starting late, don't plan to have back to back babies, and aren't going to have another one when we're almost 40. I feel very blessed that I have had such an easy pregnancy and even enjoyed it… Who would've guessed, certainly not me! I was always that "I'm never going to have kids" person for a very long time
  • I feel pretty great still! I have the normal issues with sleeping and trying to change sides while laying down, some occasional swelling and back pain... but I actually feel better than I did a few weeks ago! 39 weeks tomorrow! :) I'm trying to enjoy the me time I have left before my little girl takes over our world :)

I know @bazzie88 if we think they are dictating our lives and lifestyle right now… Just wait everything revolves around baby! Are you an FTM?
  • @ecloho I am a first time mom! :) I'm soooooo excited to meet her, but I'm also enjoying her still being inside of me. I have no idea what to expect, but EVERYONE warns me that nothing will ever be the same, and going to the bathroom will not even be private anymore. Lol. Motherhood!!! :)
  • I am still enjoying it! I have had some trouble sleeping and getting comfortable at night, and I have also had some trouble with a little bit of nerves/anxiety, but in general when I'm up and going in the day I feel pretty good. I think I will miss feeling her move around in me.
  • I've been having contractions and such for weeks now. I'm pretty done at this point. With my first, I was good the whole pregnancy. This one, not so much!
  • I'm done. I'll put a picture up I'm 37.1 with twin girls. The doctor said those are big babies! So yeah I'm swollen and ready to meet my babies. I just want to start the healing process already! This is my last pregnancy so I'm going to miss the feeling of them moving around in me but I'm not going to miss the symptoms and all the things I can't do. I've always been very self reliant and always helping others not the other way around. Drives me nuts!! :)
  • I am finally embracing my right to relax and it has made pregnancy so much more enjoyable! Last night, LO was up from about midnight to one kicking around and I have to admit that I kind of loved just laying there letting her kick me. I think she is enjoying the extra space that my chiropractor gave her in there!
  • @ecloho I'm 38 1/2 and 2 and thru (I think). My daughter is 21 months so the kids are a little closer than I thought but I know both will be a blessing. I was not having kids either and even made sure hubby was ok with that several times before we said "I do" in 2011 and look at me now! Whatever your future brings enjoy your baby. The time flies by!

Wow! @jtenkorang I was just telling my mom that I CANT EVEN IMAGINE having 2 babies inside!!! Has to be hard!! You deserve to be done!!!
  • I go back and forth on a minute-by-minute-by basis to be honest. I am so thankful to have carried this baby so far along (had some troubles staying pregnant in the past). We've been emotionally ready for this baby for a year and a half. But my body is also constantly tired and achy. Really, I just want to have my whole family here to snuggle all at once. I'm going to be in a house full of boys and I absolutely cannot wait.
  • I'm 40+1 and I'm about 50/50. I love being able to feel her and have her safe and close to me but on the other hand I wanna share her with my husband and just have her here. Her fluid is starting to get low so I have to be monitored every few days and just the worry makes me want her out. Not so much worried about not having "me" time or time with my husband. This whole pregnancy has been about her so we're used to it. Lol.
  • I can't really say that I enjoy still being pregnant but I'm trying to settle into the idea that I may still be here another week or two. I'm 39+1 today and I went all the way to 42 with my first. Like others said, I'm ready to start healing and to be active again, but I'm trying to be positive for the sake of my sanity.

I am 39 weeks too and though I am effaced, I am not dilated at all. That said my dr laughed when I asked if she thought the LO would be making an appearance as expected. She said "no that's why we call estimated due dates."

Cant really say Im loving this.

A lot of cramping and general uncomfortableness. But I do appreciate the feeling of knowing she's happy and healthy inside me =)

  • I'm 40+5 and anxious to have baby safely in my arms, but being pregnant still isn't too bad! I think we should just be told pregnancy is 42 weeks ... It would be easier on us mommas I think! Best of luck to you all, we'll get there soon!

@bridgitd I totally agree with every part of your post! It's not too bad but yes most of all I just want baby to be out & IN MY ARMS!! >:D<
  • I cant complain, I had had a pretty easy pregnancy, nothing crazy or too terrible. Other that my feet being sore & splitting from swelling & my fingertips being numb, things have been pretty easy. I still cook, clean and other things around the house, I can still bend over & am still working 40+ hours at work each week. My biggest complaint/fear is how big my LO is estimated to be. I was 8.8 last week & everyone at my OB office keeps mentioning how big I am measuring. All of this with no signs of labor starting and while I don't want a c-section, I also don't want my vagina murdered.... Lol it sounds funny to say but pushing out a 9lb plus baby seems terrifying!
  • @ecloho your situation sounds so much like mine. I turned 38 in May and my DH is 35 (OK we are opposite of you guys with age) but we thought we would never have kids. But our amazing son was born on the 2nd and I'm so glad we decided not to miss out on this. It's good to hear that you are cherishing these days still being pregnant. Our DS came 2 weeks early & as much as I love having him here, there are times that I miss feeling him move in my belly. But just wait till you have him in your arms, nothing can prepare you for how it changes you (or at least it did me).

@KAR8706 I have had zero zip nada when it comes to size estimates for my baby. Anyways are you a petite girl or not… My friend Linda who is about 6 feet tall & big boned had a 9 pound boy last year in May with no drugs and vaginally! Pretty mind-boggling but it is possible

Im 5'10"and pretty curvy. Either way i will be fine but its still scary.
  • I'm not enjoying it as much as I did a few weeks back, BUT I am trying to focus on some more positive things like eating whatever I want when I can LOL:D! I'm off the enjoyment phase and onto the "LETS DO THIS" phase... Which so far has just lead me to feel even more impatient!
