What's your go-to??

so, I haven't been very hungry the last week or so. I make myself eat a few bites of food, but after that I'm done. Starting yesterday, I wanted cereal. So, I had cereal for breakfast, lunch and dinner. And have already had it for breakfast and lunch today. Yes, I have GD, but for some reason it's not been affecting my sugar levels so far. I'm curious if I'm the only one who has eaten the same thing multiple times a day to be sure you're eating enough (or because you are too exhausted to want anything else). So ladies, what's you go-to? And how long have you gone eating just that??

Re: What's your go-to??

  • Oh I love cereal, I go through two boxes a week usually! As of now my go to is ice cream. I have a bowl 3-5 times a week. Baby loves it but my thighs think other wise.

  • Cottage cheese with cut up fruit has been a favorite with me. I would eat it for dinner everyday but I feel bad making DH fend for himself for dinner after he works hard all day. Plus, his cooking is downright scary...

Not sure why this posted twice... Sorry!
  • Love cereal! Also any kind of hot cereal with some butter and a little brown sugar mmmmm.
  • @GirlOnTheBeach , I still cook for everyone every night, but I usually don't eat it. I just can't imagine making my hubby and kids fend for themselves either.

Yeah, I just end up eating whatever I make for DH since it's odd to just cook for one and I know he appreciates a good meal after a long work day. ;-)
  • Cereal. Had if for a "snack" this afternoon. Nothing else sounded/looked good.
  • This content has been removed.
  • I'm a cereal person too. Honey Bunches of Oats or Frosted Mini Wheats. Sometimes I get into a pb&j routine which is odd because I don't really like peanut butter.
  • Watermelon, fruit and yogurt, and cereal. I woke up at three in the morning and ate one of my homemade granola bars. That was the first middle of the night snack attack I've had though lol
  • Hell I don't know what to eat! Vegetable and beef stew gave me a high reading. Damn GD. I'll follow this for ideas
  • Homemade chicken salad on a sandwich! And BLTs. I also have GD but dang it, I need my sammiches every day! :}
  • mine is peanut butter and jelly sandwiches... and ice cream!
  • Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches here too! And I do kill some cereal.
  • Peanut butter...straight from the jar :)
  • I eat a crap ton of sandwiches. I eat a breakfast sandwich in the morning and a meat or peanut butter for lunch (all of these with one piece of bread). For dinner I go protein heavy (GD) with chicken or steak. My food is really boring. DH and the kids still eat pretty well though.

  • I love cottage chesse and some fruit.
  • Activia Greek yogurt and string cheese are my go too right now. I've also mostly lost my appetite in the third tri nasties :(
  • I just went to the grocery store yesterday; somehow almost a whole box of cinnamon toast crunch and an entire gallon of milk are gone :-? Not sure where it is going...?
Oh wait! That's the three pounds my ass added on in the past two weeks!

Cinnamon Toast crunch disappears like crazy in this house. It's so freaking good!
  • Babybell cheese is my "walk past the fridge" snack. But I've been really enjoying oat meal with maple syrup and frozen blueberries :D oh, and chocolate almond milk.
  • I managed to eat 1 bite of the lasagna I made. And half a PB&J sandwich (thanks for the craving ladies...lol).

I was never a big cereal person but lately it's been my go-to. I was so hungry last evening but couldn't decide what I wanted. I ended up having cereal.
  • Obsessed with cereal! (I kind of have four bowls for breakfast some days..) and also icy poles.. I'm going through icy poles like crazy!
  • My hubby keeps asking me why we go through milk and cereal so much lately lol
