Anybody has a recipe for muffins suitable for a 9 mo old? Or suggestion where I can find organic muffins without honey, cornstarch, etc?
I found organic frozen waffles and my baby loves them, but I would like to offer something different besides pancakes and waffles.
Thanks.
Re: muffins for a 9 mo old
Thanks for the reply?
Do you modify the recipes to reduce the amount of sugar or salt? I know in general it is important to measure everything when baking, so I was wondering if I can improvise (e.g. add water instead of milk, reduce sugar, etc.)
I found some vegan muffin recipes but they didn't turn out very good. This last time I made DS zucchini muffins I just found a recipe with the least amount of sugar. You can substitute eggs with apple sauce if you don't want to use eggs. I think it was 1 cup of unsweetened apples sauce for 1 egg. I can't remember where I found my recipes but all I did was search on line for low sugar muffins.
I made muffins to use up my puree that DS stopped eating, it worked well. I made carrot apples muffins with that. I think I'm going to do pumpkin muffins next.
