My DS no longer naps unless he's in my arms. I can sometimes lay him down for 20 minutes but like clockwork he wakes up. It's enough time for me to shower or make lunch and eat. Then he wakes up and I have to rock him to sleep again. I always leave him to see if he'll go back to sleep on his own but it never happens.
He also was consistently going to bed at 7pm. Except the last two nights where we've done bedtime routine at 7 and he's fallen asleep at 9:30. I was starting to get used to having my evenings with DH and actually having dinner together...

This sounds exactly like my DD. How old is your son? We had a great routine in place and it went out the window when she hit her growth spurt. I got used to her 4-6 hr stretch at night but now she's up every two hours to eat then falls asleep on me which I don't want t to make a habit of. I'm really hoping we can get back into our routine once we get through this growth spurt.
@kbradley721 - DS was 9 weeks yesterday. He isn't going through a growth spurt though. He will still do a decent stretch at night but it takes forever to get him to sleep. And naps are out the window unless I just hold him.
DS woke up arpund 12:30. We fed and changed him. He's been up an extra wide awake., I am currently trying to rock him back to sleep.... No luck so far - this kids ready to party
@dm28 same here. 12:30 we fed changed and fed again. Now (1:50 ) we are just rocking away in the glider with the occasional yawn between coos. So cute, but I'm sleepy!
My son was doing the same. Things got better when we made sure he was only awake for one hour in between naps otherwise he was cranky and overly tired. That's when it takes longer to put them to sleep. What's nap time routine like? My son was waking up too soon during naps too but we experimented with making the room darker and keeping white noise on. We like the fan!
