Okay now, but scared and sad

Re: Okay now, but scared and sad

  • Positive thoughts bring healthy and happy babies into the world!! I had a really heavy bleed when I was about 9 weeks to the point that I thought I was losing the baby right then and there... when I went to the hospital the heartbeat was geeat and baby was squirming everything was fine the next day I went to my regular doctor and they had seen a little blood in my uterus I guess.. had me go back in 2 weeks and it was completely gone baby had doubled in size and everything looks fabulous I'm 13 weeks now and haven't had any issues since I'm sure it's something along these lines for you as well!!!

Thoughts and prayers for you! I didn't have heavy bleeding but had daily spotting from 6-10 weeks and had nothing like that with DD so I too was very anxious. Hope all turns out ok!

  • Late again but sending cyber hugs to you and fingers crossed for the next appointment. Please can I borrow your husband to teach mine a few things?!?!

Just wanted to add that I have spotted or bled every few days from 6 weeks until as recently as a couple days ago (I'm 13w2d). I had ultrasounds at weeks 8 and 11, and everything was fine for both. I would be lying if I said I still don't worry every darn time, but so far, so good. (Knock wood!) I think bleeding is entirely normal for a lot of women. Bleeding is a symptom of miscarriage, yeah, but it doesn't mean one is imminent. Just like sneezing is a symptom of a cold, but it doesn't mean you're getting a cold every time you sneeze!
  • Please try to stay postive! If the nurse seems positive that's a good sign. They rarely give out "false hope".

Hang in there! I hope the bleeding stops soon, so you can breathe a little easier.

Late to the party, but wanted to post a good story for you mamas who are bleeding. I bled pretty heavily at 16 weeks with DS. I was convinced I was losing him until an ultrasound in L&D showed he was just fine. He's 2.5 yo now, a huge kid, and has quite the personality so I always joke that he was just too much for my body to handle lol. Anyway, lots of good thoughts all of your way. I definitely understand the feelings!

  • Your prone to bleed more in pregnancy if you start bleeding as your body is producing more blood! (So will look worse than it is) I was told this by my doctor after I started bleeding and it didn't stop for 3 days! But baby was absolutely fine! Just rest up and don't let it dampen your spirits! All the best for your pregnancy xx
