    My mom always talks about her grandma calling it a dupa and she was Polish so it makes sense!!

    We say booty.

    Hahahaha! No just referencing an old thread that I can't stop laughing about. It's long buried, I will see if I can find it.

    @alice2Bcheshire - Thank you!

    3 year olds are probably not talking about vaginas. I probably didn't find my actual vagina until I got my period and wanted to find the right place to put a tampon.

    My daughter is 4. She's been talking about her vagina since she was probably about 2.5-ish. She was 3 when her brother was born, so we've all been hearing her gab about his penis since then. Trust me, as soon as they notice it- they don't shut up about it. Three years old is not too young.

    Yes, like @mollyj931 and @alice2Bcheshire said, your daughter is talking about her vulva not her vagina (unless she is talking about the orifice a penis/finger/tampon/dido goes into).
  • I was taught th correct terms when I was younger, but I made my own nickname up for a penis and it was ting. I still call it a ting.. Whoops!
  • I mean, when our LO is born and starts talking, I think we'll be using the anatomical terms.

    For me though, I'm going to start calling it my front butt from here to eternity because that is just incredible.
  • We plan on calling those parts what they are but my son picked up the idea of a no no spot lol. So we call it not only his penis but it is his no no spot. He says only him goes there lol and that's fantastic that he thinks that way.
  • My mom always called it cookies. This made it very confusing when I discovered how delicious real cookies were..........

    Im thinking @alice2Bcheshire was talking about the difference between vulva/vagina.
    Anatomically most of the time we are talking about their vulvas and not the vagina.
    Personally we usually just say vagina but my 5 year old does know there are different parts there.

    Ah! Missed that. Thanks!
