Postpartum workout/diet?

Re: Postpartum workout/diet?

  • I've only just started thinking about this as I'm a bit backwards.. I'm actually much more comfortable in my pregnant body than my non-pregnant body. In fact, I'm in love with my pregnant body. So I'm a little apprehensive about not having my bump anymore.
I plan on keeping up Yoga (including starting Mum's and Bubs Yoga), Walking (to help get me out of the house), and being conscious of what I'm eating.. If I still don't feel comfortable I'll go back to Pilates - which is what got me fit for my wedding.
It all depends on what you like to do and what exercises your body responds to. My body slims down SO FAST doing interval running but I just absolutely hate running! Haha. Pilates works wonders for me but aerobics classes an spin classes don't have much effect.
Again, Paleo - I lost 4kgs in 10 days changing my diet to Paleo.. But I cut out all dairy, sugar and most carbs. I also cut out coffee which was really difficult. I couldn't do that again as the withdrawals I had from the caffeine and sugar were horrendous! Headaches, fatigue and an ABSOLUTE MOODY BITCH. Haha. Once you are over the withdrawals it's much easier and the weight loss is much more stable. I think my body just had no idea what hit it!

  • I'm going to try the t25 work out and Zumba. I love Zumba! Also I'm going to have to get a dietary book to teach me how to eat healthy. Lol I've never been into veggies very much. I'm also going to find a second hand jogging stroller and try to get my but into walking on a regular basis
  • I will just be tracking what I eat on MFP, walking and doing Spin and Barre classes.

  • I'm not so much worried about losing weight, but more just eating healthy and getting active again. I haven't gained much to this point. So the number isn't the issue. More doing the stuff I should have been doing pre pregnancy
