Oreos

ok, I just saw a commercial for Oreo thins.... Um, what is the point? Aren't double stuff the only Oreos you ever buy?
Lol! Sorry, I probably should have saved this for unpopular opinions Thursday, but I can't remember anything that long, so hence my aw post.

Re: Oreos

  • I'd happily buy just Oreo cookies without the "stuff", so needless to say no double stuff for me!

I would NEVER be able to pull this off. It would be your typical "Nailed it" Pinterest fail.

I never liked the flavored ones until I tried the red velvet ones at Easter. I haven't had the Reese's ones yet, although they look really good. I'm really not sure about fruit flavored Oreos though :) I will leave those all for you.
  • Dang it ladies! We have Oreos in the house for the first time, well since we bought this house 3 years ago. A friend left them with us and now I want them and I just brushed my teeth. :(

  • Oreos was my major craving and nightly treat with my first pregnancy. I'm scared to even think about buying them. It's a slippery slope people!
  • A close friend of mine taught me a knew way to eat Oreos about a year ago and I have never gone back. Take your Oreos, break each one into 3-4 pieces and put them in bowl. Now pour milk on top and eat them like cereal with a spoon. Revolutionized my life.

Double stuff are the ONLY ones worth buying. I can't remember the last time I had a boring old regular Oreo - what a waste!

  • Omg! I want some Oreos and milk now
  • I either dip my Oreos the old fashioned way in milk or, if I'm going without milk, I eat one chocolate side, then carefully remove the other chocolate side and save just the cream for last. They have to be the right temperature to get an even separation.

Sounds super dangerous. Whole box = gone. Just like a real bowl of cereal.

    Whatever happened to Oreo-Os?

  • Omg you are all feeding into my Oreo addiction. I LOVED Oreos before getting pregnant. Now, I won't even buy them because I know I'll inhale a whole box at a time hahaha...
  • I eat a box at a time and I'm not ashamed ☺

Using the fork makes it more fun :) And it makes you eat slower so you don't eat as many at once!

Oh yeah, without milk that's how it's done! But sometimes I get impatient and just eat the cream with the 2nd side, lol

  • Or, in summer, I also like them frozen :)

I had the berry ones and almost no one made it out alive. I would do some seriously shameful things to get another package of those! Soooooooo good

This is how I do it but I use a mug. Can't get more than 3 in it. I dip the 4th while the 3 saturate.

Frozen Oreos???? What is this madness? Our air conditioner is not working well as of yesterday. I will be freezing my Oreos momentarily!

I loved the peppermint ones they had during the holiday season. I don't like the regular mint ones but the peppermint were divine. I usually have really good Oreo self control. After reading this thread, today should he interesting.

    Edited for quote box fail.
  • I hate double stuf Oreos. My favorite is the chocolate cream filled ones or the mint cream. I read that the thin Oreos are supposed to be more adult and classy which I don't get.

Who cares about being adult or classy when eating an Oreo? Stupid marketing people. Some things in life can still just be fun.

Absolutely! I love getting my fingers a bit milky.

And what's classy about cookies anyways?!?
  • Let's give it up for my horrible quoting skills!!

IDK CKM....in the UK they're pretty classy at tea, but we don't do that here. To me, cookies are supposed to be fun.

  • I guess that's true about tea time. Although I've never been to England so I can only guess...
And how weird is it that I click to open this thread again and the commercial
Comes back on. It's really making me want to run to the store and buy a pack of double stuff Oreos. And let's be honest, it will be a family size pack ;)
  • doubbbble stufffff.  I, too, am afraid what will happen if I buy a package (or three). It's only a matter of time now...
