OPK Observation and question

So, This is the first month that I have been using an OPK. Thursday the DR saw a large egg on the u/s, but OPK-. Friday, Saturday, Sunday AND Monday, I got OPK+ Test results! 2 years ago the OPK kit said to stop testing after your 1st positive OPK, but the new kit tells me to keep testing because it will move from high fertility to peak fertility. So far, the test is only high fertility, not peak ... Has anyone else seen this? I am assuming this means that I have been on the brink of ovulation since Friday ...

    If you are using the Clearblue Advanced opk, you keep testing until you get a peak. Last month I skipped high and went straight to peak. The month before that I had 7 highs before the peak. --I'm in my 4th cycle following a d&e, so my cycles are still a bit wonky.

    The "high" readings indicate estrogen surge, the "peak" readings indicate luteinizing hormone surge. Keep testing until you get the peak, then stop testing.

    BFP 10/18/17  •  MMC found at 8 wks  •  Misoprostal at 10.5 wks (age 39)

    BFP 5/07/18  •  MMC found at 10.5 wks  •  D&E at 11.5 wks      •  Testing showed it was a girl with Trisomy 22. (age 39/40)
    9/5/18 Diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve (4-5 follicles, one ovary had none and was very atrophied)
    RE says the low egg count is likely causing my recurrent pregnancy loss. Less eggs results in more aneuploidy.
    BFP 9/24/18  •      CP (age 40)
    BFP 5/11/19  •  Fraternal twins  •  MMC found at 10w5d (Baby A 6w, Baby B 10w)  •  Misoprostal at 11 weeks (age 41)

    Thanks Carrie!!! It is clear blue. It seems that the tests have become more accurate in the last 2 years. Maybe that is why it took 13 cycles last time ... we were stopping too soon.Just to make sure I am interpreting this correctly. The flashing happy face is the high reading, and the solid smiley face is the peak reading. Is that how you interpreted it? The instructions only show arrows around the face which I assume means flashing.

    Yes, flashing smiley = high (estrogen surge) and not-flashing smiley = peak (lh surge)

    Finally ... An LH surge. I screwed up my testing .. Forgot to do it first thing in the morning, and when I finally did there wasnt a lot of urine ... But I am assuming it was enough LH to detect a surge ...praying for an opportunity for BMS tonight .. Last chance this cycle.
