Yep - chest and back for me. Easier to cover up with clothing than having them on my face! I went out and bought some acne treatment with salicylic acid in it and right before I went to use it I read that you aren't supposed to use salicylic acid acne products while pregnant! Darn it!!
I'm totally broken out along my jawline, and a couple on my neck too. It's super annoying, but will probably get better when hormones even out. At least I hope!!
Mine suck and are everywhere... hest, shoulders, back, face...madness...can any STMs tell me if it clears up at all in the 2nd trimester or is this my life for the next 7 months?
I am reviving an old thread, in the hopes that someone has some advice on what to use (topically) that worked for them. I am breaking out everywhere, face, back, chest... etc. I haven't felt this self conscious about my face in years. I didn't have this issue with my last pregnancy (an occasional pimple here and there but nothing more), but this time, it's everywhere!!!
For those who are struggling with the same issues, what are you guys using? Any over the counter creams or prescription treatments that is working for you?

The only thing that has ever worked for me is to use my regular face wash (nothing fancy) and then I topically apply a thin layer of tea tree oil to the blemish after washing. I usually do this first thing in the morning and right before bed. In the morning I wait for the oil to dry then moisturize as normal. I bought the tea tree oil from Ulta. It is the Body Shop brand.
Just a heads up on tea tree oil. That is what I usually use, I love the Body Shop Tea Tree line. Both my OB with DS and my current OB have advised against it. It is in the category of not having enough testing to be considered safe.
well, looks like I'm screwed then. Guess I'll reintroduce myself to what I looked like in my puberty days. Joy
It sucks. I think you can use benzoyl peroxide. It gives me hives but I feel like that was my only option when I broke out severely on my chest with DS. I had DS 6.5 years ago and didn't ask my new OB since I can't use it anyway. It is worth asking your OB.
@Quazel I have a hives reaction to benzoyl peroxide as well. It finally went away when I was in college and showed back up once I started birth control the week before my cycle started. Vicious cycle. Thankfully it hasn't been too bad since KU and I haven't had to use the tea tree oil
