Middle names for girl

The first name we have picked out it Paesli. Don't bother trying to "correct" my spelling or tell me that its's stupid and all that crap. This is the way we have decided to spell it and I think it's a beautiful way to spell it. Just looking for a perfect middle name that sounds good with it. We don't want anything common like grace or marie even tho it does sound pretty. I was looking for something a little less girly to go with Paesli but not too tomboyish. Like, the middle name we like so far is Paesli Morgan.

Any suggestions?

Last name will be Davis

Just google how unique names affect your child and you'll see a range of articles about how the name can influence career path, how your child is treated, whether or not she gets a high paying job, how teachers treat her. Your kid, your life but I can't understand why would someone refuse to understand when sometime will affect their child's entire life in a negative way. It's science, statistics don't lie.

ETA: just realized you've been posting about the same thing over and over, there are at least 4 post from you asking about the name and the middle name, when you have mentioned at least 5 you've already picked and changed your mind. Why do you keep asking for others opinions? If you're going to choose a ridiculous name choose it yourself or ask your family, not strangers.

  • I love raeanne and you could call her paesli Rae if you wanted. ;;)
  • As someone who has a name that is spelled wrong every single day, I can say spell your kids name however you want to spell it. Good for you! I am perfectly okay with correcting people. It hasn't impacted me "negatively" at all.
  • Whenever I see a name butchered or made up completely..I immediately think young and/or probably uneducated parents. Sorry but that is the truth of it. No one wants to waste their own time trying to figure out what to call you or how to pronounce your name. Also..Application comes in with the name "Paesli" on it...Straight to trash. Fair? Maybe not. BUT life isn't always fair. Starting your child off with a non name is not cute or adorable. Just spell it properly.

  • Paisley looks so much cuter. It really does.

Paesli makes me think muesli. Paisley is much nicer. I like Paisley Mae.
  • Paisley is nice, but in Scotland there's a place called Paisley and it's not a nice area so I've never really thought about it as a name.
That being said, i agree with OP spelling it that way is just going to cause your child frustration- obviously your choice at the end of the day but think about it.

I'm naming my daughter Ainsley and I've had several ask how to pronounce it I guess because it's completey uncommon, I've never heard it. But I loved it, they don't like it. How I look at it, it's my child I have every right to name her what I like. Also, no one is naming their child to please the world, that's impossible. If the girl likes her name spelled that way then okay... She isn't naming your child for you I'm sure she's aware it's spelled differently, no reason to judge someone for that. I for one love the name paisley, I wouldn't choose the spelling but if she likes it, then so be it. Also I'm sure everyone's trying to be helpful and all, but looks like her mind is set on that name no need to beat a dead horse.

Exactly. My name isn't spelled differently and I still have problems all the time with people asking me how to spell it or how to pronounce it. I have no problem correcting them. Everybody has always loved my name.

People ask me how to spell my name, too. It's just not a common name and it's easy to mess up the vowels. That's not the issue with "Paesli". She (and you as her parent) will be judges as being ignorant and uneducated simply for spelling her name that way. I'm not saying you are either of these things- it's just what others will read into a name like that.

It's your child, so you can certainly name her whatever you like, but i strongly encourage you to at least think about the issues you may saddle your child with by giving her a name with a made-up spelling.

Her name isn't spelled differently.. it is spelled incorrectly and made up. Either way she can do what she wants.
