I have my sons name, zodiac sign and birth date on my right ankle. I plan to put my other sons name zodiac sign and birth date on my left ankle as well (: !
I want to after I'm done bfing. I have wanted it for awhile and this is my last so I'm going for it. I want a Cactus with 3 Cactus flowers in full bloom (3 kids) and a butterfly above it (a loss) Cactus are hardy and to me represent a mothers unconditional love. I'm just not sure where on my body I want it. ..
@mandy903 your back would be good placement since that plant is more spread out up top and narrows at the bottom. or depending on what size, if you angled it alongside your ribcage it could be cool
i also plan on covering up a tattoo, finishing a tattoo and re-doing a tattoo after my little boy is born! obviously when time and money allows that lol
For father day, I got my husband a gift certificate so he could get a tattoo updated. It's a silhouette of two cardinals on a branch. He's going to add a smaller cardinal in the middle.
Dumb question. So I've always considered getting a tattoo but have super sensitive skin. Is there a possibility of having a reaction to the ink? I've never heard of anyone being allergic to their tattoo, but with my luck I'd be the first!
@1stcomeslove421 I have super sensitive skin and I've never had any issues with any of mine! Of course if your worried talk to a tattoo artist or a doctor and do your research if it helps ease your mind too! Just make sure you go to a clean shop and not a friend of a friend in someone's living room
I'm getting one on the top of my left thigh for my boy. Most likely whatever flower is his birth flower (Marigolds if he comes around his due date of Oct 3rd....or Asters if he comes a little early and ends up being a September baby).
I would love to get another tattoo for this baby, but sadly I'm allergic to the ink and have to get 3 removed because they are bothering me so bad. Tattoo ink isn't regulated and a lot of them have metals in them which is what I react too. I'm so jealous of those who don't have issues with tattoo ink.
Is there a way to determine what "ingredient" in the ink is causing the allergic reaction? You said it's some sort of metal...I know US tattoo shops have to meet higher standards in terms of their ink, but maybe there are some that have none of the metal you're reacting to? I'm sorry you're having to go through tattoo removal too!
I have my daughter birth flower on my shoulder blade, I plan on getting my son's the same style beside it, but I am also going to get more on my thigh done, well add about 2 more then probably start on my quarter sleeve. I still plan on breastfeeding, the ink want pass through the milk. And as long as you keep it clean then your ok. I had my chest done when I was breastfeeding my daughter.
I don't have any tattoos and don't plan on it, but my FI has lots up and down his arms and a half sleeve that goes across his chest. All of his tattoos are vintage/sailor jerry style. He already has a little cowgirl for his daughter that says "daddy's girl." When the baby is born, on the other arm, if it's a girl he's going to get a little indian (native american) princess that also says daddy's girl; if it's a boy he will get a kid slug (little boxer boy).
I have a tattoo on my back that I've always intended to add to when I had kids. I just have to wait till I'm done having kids to finish it and I'm only on my first. (We want either 2 or 4)
My sister's foot rejected the ink do the tattoo essentially just came out but her other tats look great just her feet. Maybe start with a small piece in a hidden area?
I am loving the birth month flower ideas!! I just have one on my wrist but have wanted a second one for a while...this thread is giving some good ideas!
Im getting tattoos for both my kids done after my daughter is born in october. Im getting a Phoenix for my son going from my shoulder down and the tail feathers are going to spread across my hip and butt and onto my thigh and for my daughter I am getting a peacock the same way on the other side. Both will be on my back...i have 7 tattoos already and am kind of addicted! They will be my first 2 big pieces though
YES! I'm getting a verse from Micah (our baby boy is named Micah...) on the upper section of the inside of my forearm.
Not going to lie. I can't wait to get tattoos in general. I only have a big one on the back of my arm but that was supposed to be the first of a whole piece... Itching to continue!!!!!!!!!!!!!
