  I don't mind Hope Louise, DH and I don't want Whitney as the first name, as is we don't really want it as the mn but feel somewhat obligated.. 

  
  

  This is going to sound crazy, but I worry about DD getting called Ho when she gets older, does anyone else see that or am I totally over analyzing this?

  Love the name Whitney, but Hope Whitney doesn't flow that great to me. I voted Emma Louise.

  Emma Louise flows the best.  Hope is nice but it doesn't flow well with Whitney.

  Emilia Hope? Then you have the option of calling her Emma .......and you can use the name Hope (a name that you are not 100%on) also, it has never crossed my mind that someone would shorten Hope to Ho.

  I voted Hope Whitney before reading any of the comments. Seeing that you feel obliged to pick the MN instead of liking it, I would advise against it. I like pp's suggestion of Emilia Hope and prefer it over the other options you listed.

  Ok the more I think about Emilia Hope I'm liking it more and more, DH, my bff and my sisters like it too! Could be moving to the top of the list!

  Emilia Hope would get my vote. On a side note, my best friend of over twenty-five years is named Hope and she has never liked her name. She feels that it doesn't sound pretty enough. She always felt her sister Holly had the prettier name even though hers has the better meaning. She has also always been a rather pessimistic person and people have called her Hopeless since childhood. I like her name because of the meaning but I really adore it in the middle name spot.

  I voted for Hope Ann. Between Hope Whitney and Hope Ann, I liked Hope Whitney better. However, since you mentioned in the comments that you just feel obligated to used Hope Whitney, I don't feel that ANYONE should feel like they are obligated to use a family name. I feel that they should use a family name because they WANT to use the name, not because they feel obligated. So Hope Ann won out between those too. 

  
  

  If you had Emilia Hope on there, that would have gotten my vote. Or even Emilia Ann, if you still wanted a family name in there.

  I love Hope (also a big fan of Faith or Grace as a first name). I think Kira is nice too. Emma is pretty, but too popular/ kind of boring.

  I think Hope is a great name.  I think it flows better with Whitney than Ann, but Hope Louise is also a nice choice.  I agree that Emma is too popular, if you are hoping to avoid that.  Or maybe Hope Emma?

  I went to school with several Hopes. No one ever called any of them Ho. It's a short name so kids won't want to call them a nn.
