okay, I know there are certain things you can't do while expecting like heavy lifting and such, so what CAN you do work out wise while pregnant?? I haven't been to the gym since I found out I was with child so not quite sure what to do and what to avoid.

Some of my favorite prego friendly exercises, walking, swimming, squats, push ups, planks. That's just my personal style.
Don't start a new exercise program - this is about maintenance not getting into better shape. But within that - yoga, swimming, walking, barre, even running if you were running before is all fine. Just be smart about it - no intense interval training as a runner, no 105 degree bikram yoga. Just chill versions of regular exercise. As you get further along, your body will place its own limitations. Oh, and no crunches once you hit 2nd tri - planks are great the whole way through for core strengthening though!
Go you for exercising. Everyone goes through pregnancy differently, but personally I found it to be an amazing stress reliever (especially with wine suddenly not being an option) and think it saved my sanity the first time around.
