  • The only dumb thing I get is "so they still haven't found the girl?" Or "just wait she'll show up when you are in labor" I respond with "no just one baby. Little man just really likes his room so he makes my belly stick out a lot"
  • I always get " I feel like you have been pregnant for forever!!!", followed by " your only 7 months?!?!" I mean we went thru fertility treatments so we have known since my positive 2 week blood preg test... And yes to me it feels like forever but there's no need for a reminder lol... At this point I just laugh it off
  • I have a relative who came to visit and gave me a daily update on my "showing status". "You don't even look pregnant today! Wow, you're really showing today! Your pants look tight today!" Um... Thanks for the headlines- I finally told her I'd make her a dial to turn to pregnant or not pregnant so she didn't have to say it all the time!

    Yesterday's conversation with a stranger:
    Her "boy?"
    Me "yes"
    Her "is this your first"
    Me "yea"
Her "you have like a month left right"
Me "no more like three, due end of October"
Her "there's no way! Your so big and so far to go! Sure there is just one in there"

    Wtf
  • My uncle who is a stroke victim and can't chose his words to well literally said .. Your getting fat. lol I wanted to punch his slouchy face. I'm sorry for being blunt and rude to poor people who had a stroke but I literally was upset ! Lol I'm bad I know
  • I was told I look like I'm having twins. Nope, only 1 baby in there, and I've gained roughly 20 lbs in almost 29 weeks, so it's not like I'm really that huge . . .

  • My husband's aunt I feel she has it out for me not only does she mention I'm huge in English but in Spanish as well then will laugh it off lIke its okay i just gI've a half smile or when people tell me getting bigger and she will come out of no where and make a face and say yeah bigger... I don't comment and walk away. Then when we are at church I get the comments when are you due wow you are gonna have a big baby or are you sure it's not two babies. Or what are you having I say boy and they say oh I knew it because of the dark bags under your eyes .........
  • I'm out of town for a work engagement for the month and EVERYONE in this opera with me is constantly babying me.  They won't let me lift anything, they adjust my choreography way more than necessary, they freak out when I try to take a yoga class... I CAN STILL DO THINGS, PEOPLE!  I appreciate that they are being so kind but I can be my own advocate, sheesh!

Same here! My husband wants me to sit on the couch and take it easy. That is the last thing I need to do. It's very frustrating because he constantly acts like I'm completely helpless, and I'm not. It's not like I'm even over doing anything, either. I also do a summer theater program in my town and the kids will hardly let me do anything. On one hand it's very sweet of them that they are so concerned for my well being, but it does get a little aggravating because they get upset when I carry a metal folding chair across the room to sit in front of the stage.

Haha, sorry for that little rant!

On topic, I actually haven't really had anyone say anything to me. I imagine I will once I get a little bit bigger. I'm so tall and I don't look as far along as I am.

The lady I work with who is the size of a bean pole and always complains she's gained weight told me baby was making me wide and my belly wasn't growing out. I wear scrubs to work and had to buy some too big so they cover my belly that is very much growing out not wide. She saw me in regular clothes one day and said oh now I see a belly.

When I first told my dad that I am pregnant he asked "are we happy about it?" Also when before I started showing I had coworkers that would try to baby me and rub my belly even after being told I don't like to be touched by people I'm not that close to. Recently I have been told "oh your just now starting to show!" I am aware
That I'm showing as I can't button my jeans anymore also I have had my belly stick out for the last month and 1/2.
  • Yesterday at the nail salon the woman asked what we are having. When I said "it's a surprise" she said "is the surprise that it's two?!"
