Can you ladies offer me any support stories for C section recovery? Mine was unexpected (Friday 7/10) after 20 hours of being in labor. I was told by the doctor that I was one of her worst C sections as it took almost 5 minutes to get my baby out, normally it is about a 30 second pull out.
I have a bundle of emotions but I am in so much pain and achyness. I am taking meds as prescribed except for the hard stuff. I am clogged and have gas at the same time. It is just a horrible recovery... I need a light at the end of the tunnel!
Re: C Section recovery Stories?
I do feel it's important to stay on top of the pain though. I was taking Motrin and Percocet when the pain was bad, but the last few days I've been cutting back on the heavier medication.
Take the meds the doctor gives you. If you feel it's not enough and the pain is still too intense, call your doctor and ask if there is anything else they can give you.
2nd cesection I had a roommate and was unable to move around in our room freely. Recovery was harder. I took some of my pain meds.
3rd cesection had a private room but felt like my staples or stitches were too tight. I could barely stand straight up. I walked around hunched over for days. I do know the more I did walk the easier it was. But that was my hardest recovery. I took a lot my pain meds!
