@SheHulk723 So jealous, but happy for you too! Don't worry too much, just hand in the two weeks' notice and enjoy the countdown
Found out my cousin is having a baby boy in April! I don't know her too well, but we happen to live in the same city and have met up a few times for dinner after finding out we were both pregnant. Kind of weird to start a relationship so late in the game, and definitely weird knowing that she and her husband make like 10 times more than DH and I - it creates a slightly odd dynamic - but it's exciting that there will be two cousins so close in age.
Spent this weekend napping and baking pies. We wound up with two CSA boxes packed full of vegetables, so finding stuff to do with all the veggies before they go bad is going to be a challenge this week! A pumpkin pie used up two winter squashes, which I hate eating in almost every other way, and I finally used up a carton of cranberries that was languishing around for weeks by making a weird cranberry tart experiment that turned out pretty tasty.
Anyway, if anyone has good ideas about creative uses of beets, or any good salad recipes that I can use arugula for, feel free to throw me some ideas!
I'm 33 weeks, 5 days today, and the fatigue and occasional nausea are getting worse. Also I can't walk normally anymore, starting to break out the waddle. I get grumpy pretty easily, but naps and snacks help a lot.
DH and puppy are sitting with me on the couch while I read for class. There's rain outside and apple cider inside, so I'm happy. It won't last after DH goes to work, but it's nice for a few hours.
It's been really cold here in the mornings, 20 degrees this morning. I love it, but I'm realizing I need winter shoes. I've got open toe shoes and only 1 pair of closed toe shoes, and they don't go with every outfit. I think I need to go shoe shopping. I'm really wishing I could wear cute boots, but these hips I've got, the boots wouldn't look good.
I'm heading into my midwife appt. I should find out the verdict today if a water birth is even an option for me. I'm not holding my breath, but since my velamentous cord is small, I'm hoping they'll consider it. It doesn't make me any less high risk though.
@MrsDigger10 - thriving and big I'm not sure I trust this last measurement, seems too big for 33.4 weeks or something to me. But she's showing growth, so that's all that matters.
Cervical length has shortened yet again, though, so that's a bummer.
I'm sorry you have the stomach flu, ugh ugh ugh! One of the worst things ever. I hope it's short lasting.
WE HAVE SNOW!!!!!!!!!!! I see flakes outside my window :x
Yay Zoe! I am glad she is hanging on. Not good news on the cervical length, but at least she is staying put! You are 34 weeks this week, right? That is a great milestone to get to!
Snow is lovely to LOOK at
Yup! I'll be 34 weeks on Thursday. That's my doctors short term goal, so I'm excited to be approaching it.
I used to really hate snow (mainly due to where I grew up) but recently I really love the cold and snow. I've never experienced a Canadian winter, though, so ask me again when I'm NOT in the hospital just watching from a window and I'm driving in it

Morning ladies! Well instead of morning sickness in the first two trimesters I've apparently been dealt it in the third trimester, as well as night sickness Driving to work is difficult...to make matters worst someone in our building smokes pipes and the smell is making me want to pass out. Need to talk to my boss about that asap seeing as I'm pretty sure we own the floor this gentleman rents from. Although I'm never crazy about him doing it inside on a normal basis when I'm pregnant and feeling sick I just can't deal!
And I second what is with all the new people? and the constant random threads that keep getting started which could easily just be placed on this board! We have a random thread for a reason people, use it! ok rant over, its probably not that big of a deal but since I'm irritated by everything lately...
Throwing in the towel. Shaving my legs is officially a two person job How are you ladies managing?
I've given up on shaving. I did ask my husband if he could help me one of these days and again before we go have the baby. I know the doctors won't care but if I'm walking around and have visitors afterwards, I'd like shaved legs

@britb618 - I'm dealing with this, too. What is this?! I've been horribly queasy for the past several days (more like 4 days) I thought maybe I was getting something, I'm having some bathroom issues X_X but I feel otherwise fine, and it's just hanging around. I feel so queasy and gross. I had like 2 weeks of morning sickness from weeks 6-8 (so basically nothing worth mentioning) and now I feel like I'm sick all day. In my case, I'm wondering if it's because Zoe dropped and she's sitting extremely low now.. I feel a ton of pressure/pain and I'm wondering if it's just making me feel queasy. Who knows, but yuck. I'm sorry you don't feel good, either.

Oh, I forgot to mention, I had some ridiculous nightmares last night. One of them, I was being attacked by a very large humpback whale, but instead of it's normal mouth it had like a predator mouth, but DH saved me by swimming like a dolphin and getting us away from the whale. It was freaking weird.
The next one, there was basically this claw machine, like the kind you can get stuffed animals from, but it was the size of an entire building and you used an actual crane, like construction crane that you controlled remotely, to get what was inside. But there were three live, very beautiful ducks in it and I wanted one. So I managed to get one and I was holding it and it was the sweetest, most awesome duck ever, but then the crane got a mind of its own and was mad at me for capturing the duck and started chasing me through the town and trying to kill me!
I believe there was another one, but I can't remember it now. Definitely a weird night.
@musicfanatic, I'm sorry your not feeling good! I swore with my daughter I was going to go early because of how she was sitting and how big I was etc. and of course she came day after due date so I won't fool myself into the false sense that this means Jack's going to make an earlier appearance then the RCS date...but man I feel like I did the last two weeks of pregnancy this time! blah!
wish I could be home in bed watching gossip girl...I'm mid season 3 or 4 I think...but instead I'm at work with a bowl of chicken noodle soup which is making up for my otherwise crappy day
Our power went out this morning... I have no idea why because it's paid.
I forgot my iron pill this morning
I literally ate a Bacon and Gouda bfast sandwich AND a Cranberry Bliss bar for breakfast
Last night, I was having some BH that were scaring me, but I think it was due to my salty eating yesterday and never getting enough water to quench my thirst. .. idk.
Throwing in the towel. Shaving my legs is officially a two person job How are you ladies managing?
Shave my legs? Yea ... no this hasn't happened since August (when I still could physically do it). The only reason I attempt to shave my lady parts is because the hair is itchy when it grows in. TMI? Maybe.
I can still shave the bottom of my legs (which is all that happens in in the winter anyways) but the bikini area is unmanageable. I bought a trimmer off of amazon which I should have here in a day or two and I'm going to see what I can manage with that - if that's a no - go then DH will have to assist - sorry honey!
It's been raining all day and won't be stopping anytime soon. So of course today is the day that the tracking for both the glider and rug say "On truck for delivery".

I'm jealous of all of you who are getting snow! The most it's ever snowed here is maybe an inch or two and it is very, very rare.
I remember a long time ago, during one of the winters it snowed here, my sister and I tried to make a snowman. He was only about a foot tall and was made of very dirty snow because there was so little of it. The only carrot we could find for a nose was an old, shriveled baby carrot. He was the creepiest snowman, ever. We ended up destroying him because we were afraid he would come alive and hurt us. Lol.
Cold rainy dreary day here. Mr. Man is feeling a bit cramped in my belly. He literally takes my breath away and the lightning crotch is killing me today. 9 weeks left!
Just got back from my appt. I'm able to have a water birth is I choose! It's nice knowing I'm not limited. All the midwives are on board, and so is my mfm! \:D/
Gotta schedule the class, and sign our contract now.
Totally sympathizing with all of my fellow frequent urinators (spellcheck says that's not a word...whatever). Currently going every 2 hours at night, and almost every 20 minutes during the day. Luckily my office is close to the restroom, but I'm really getting sick of looking at the putrid blue floor tiles in there. Depends anyone? Too far?
DH woke up today with either food poisoning or some stomach bug. He's vom/sharting every 1-1.5 hours right now. Poor guy :-( . Luckily my in-laws live close so his mom dropped in to give him gatorade, saltines, and coke. I'm considering leaving work early to go check in on him.
Related to DH's sickness, every time I feel a baby kick today the hypochondriac in me thinks it might be extreme gas and that I'm coming down with whatever he has. Here's to hoping I stay well.
I've got my second to last mama yoga class tonight. Enjoying it much more than I even expected :-)
Have any of you gotten random calls from a cord blood banking company? That's pretty annoying to me...I didn't sign up to receive more information or anything like that. So somehow this company knows I'm pregnant, got my number, and called me? No thanks. If I'm interested I'll call you.
I don't know why this irks me so much but it does.
It is a winter wonderland here today. It is wet snow, which sticks to everything, so all the trees are covered in snow too. It is really pretty.
I have been having severe pain in my right shoulder blade for about a week. I made an appointment to see an orthopedic doctor, but they can't get me in until Friday. This is make me cry kind of pain. I just hope there is something they can do, even if it caused by the pregnancy.
My short term disability policy changes in my favor next year. I will get 100% pay for all of my maternity leave (the 6-8 weeks given to me by my OB), instead of 67%. I am pretty excited about that.
@musicfanatic can I be nosy and ask what your cervical length was? And what indications, if any, have they given you based on your length?
If that's too personal I totally get it.
0.7 is mine. I was 2 at 28 weeks, 1.3 just a bit ago and now i'm 0.7. Not much. No indications, they have previously told me women have gone full term with very shortened cervixes, although the risk for preterm labor is higher. I have already had 3 preterm labor scares, though (that required terbutaline injections to stop) and they are stopping my Procardia this Thursday when I hit 34 weeks (the short term goal of my doctor) so I'm kinda unsure what will happen after that. They won't stop labor at that point for me.

Update on the lunch date that I didn't want to go to: It was great! Caught up with old friend (not awkward at all!), and will definitely be making a point to see her more often now. Also, she had her baby with her who was born a few months ago (at 34 weeks!), and she's super adorable.
Also, it's snowing now, but it's too warm to stick to anything. I love snow, and want it to stick!
DH and I are taking our hospital tour tonight, and I'm excited! I have my birth plan to talk to the nurses about, but I need to write down a few other questions before I forget them. Should probably get on that....
Morning ladies. The hubby an epic breakfast. I'm a little hurt because of how many people flaked out for our baby shower. No courtesy to even call after they had swore up and down they were coming. But I'm grateful for those that did show up.

-------typical quote fail-------- Thanks for the info. I was 0.4 on Saturday and they stopped my Procardia yesterday. I'll be 34w on Sunday and they won't stop labor anymore for me either. I just wish there was some type of algorithm that laid all this out for us. I hate the unknown, it's driving me nuts!!
My random: the lightening... oh the lightening... and i'm not talking about the weather! Atleast she's moved back up for a bit. I feel like I got kicked in the lady bits.
My house is a wreck. I've still got dinner to cook and laundry to do. Owen won't nap. I'm laying in his bed, alone. ... While he is running around playing.
It was pretty miserable here yesterday, cold and rainy. And of course today it was in the 70's, but still kind of wet. Now tomorrow it's going to be really cold again (cold as in 48 is the high and 30 is the low). Everybody at my office is talking about how this weather change is going to make everybody sick. Really? No. Germs, bacteria, viruses and stuff make people sick. And your sneeze that you don't cover and just let out into the wide open make people sick. I don't know why this bothers me so much.
On a positive note, somebody bought us a carseat and stroller! Yay!
Re: Monday Randoms!
Puppy turned one yesterday! So freaking cute.

I have to pee every 20 minutes

Had my 3 hour GTT today. Horrible.
