Okay now, but scared and sad

So, after having a fun morning on the boards with you ladies, I started having cramping and heavy bleeding. I called the advice nurse and they had me come in right away. They checked on the baby and told me everything seems fine and let me listen to the heart beat (which sounded nice and strong). They put me on pelvic rest for a week since I have an appointment on the 22nd, where they said they would check me again. I'm so relieved everything seems fine but it was really terrifying. Im still having mild cramping and bleeding but it seems to be getting better.

I had such a great pregnancy the first time around with DD so, I guess this is quite the shock to my system. Now, I'm so scared. I hope everything turns out okay. Every time I go to use the bathroom and there is still some blood my heart sinks, but I'm trying to keep my chin up. My nurse assured me that she feels like everything will be okay and that maybe some recent IBS symptoms irritated my uterus and that's all it is. I hope so. I'm so sorry to just ramble on. It's been a long afternoon. I just want to go back to silly thread drama from this morning.

That stinks. I hope you feel better soon! I had really heavy bleeding with my son at about 18 weeks as well and everything turned out just fine. Make sure you get that rest for the next week!

DH got me a bag of starburst and some lemonade and propped me up in bed with my computer. He told me to watch some Real Housewives and take it easy, while he entertains DD. Best. Husband. Ever.

That's a great husband! Good thoughts and prayers your way! I'm sure everything is ok when they told you they felt you were good to go! I had some spotting and bleeding too, I know how scary it is! That bleeding lasted a bit for me too! sending good thoughts your way!!

They did a doppler to find the heart beat and it sounded really good so they didnt think I needed one. Ill have one done at my check up next week, though. So, that should give me a little extra piece of mind.

Thoughts and prayers to you. I had some bleeding earlier on, got the ok from the dr and was still paranoid for a few weeks. Of course, dr was right and everything was fine but I completely understand still being upset. I'm glad they checked the baby out and baby's going strong! Please update us when you get to see your bean next week!

Honestly everything will be fine. You will be suprised at how common these situations can be. Hearing your babys heart beat reassures you that everything is ok and everything will be ok. Carry on being a tough mummy. Not lon before you meet your special little prince or princess x

I just saw this. Praying that the bleeding stops. I did have a cousin that had what seemed to be a period for the first four months of her 3rd pregnancy. She has four healthy, lovely children. I am sure that you will be fine. And you made such a great choice with your DH. You must be one smart cookie.

Oh god, so I had went to the living room after DD went to bed and forgotten about having them in bed. So, when DH came in to go to sleep, he went to flip back the covers and starburts went flying everywhere. Whoops!

Thanks for so much love everyone, so far, so good today. I'll definitely update after my appt next week.

Hi there,

I just wanted to reply to say stay positive! I had bleeding from 4 weeks 2 days through to 8 weeks, every day. Saw my baby this morning, all healthy and squirming and they found no reason for my bleeding either.
