Mucus plug@ 39 weeks? I am 15 and this is my first, I unfortunately had gotten forced into sex.

Monday I had a Dr appointment and got checked and according to my Dr a tight 1cm. She said my cervix was still firm (50%) today I had gone to the restroom and noticed (I guess)my mucus plug. I went on to do things as normal. Later tonight I had woken up around 12:30 and went to the restroom again I saw my mucus plug but this time it had some blood in it. What exactly do I need to know about this? Am I about to go into labor? I am not having any contractions at all.

Same as me. I lost my plug four days ago n still waiting. I'm 40w+2. It means labour is, eventually, on its way but could still be days or weeks away.

Nothing it just means your dilating and softening. Expect more blood but go in if it gets over 1table spoon. And get ready your getting close! Could be any time now they say after your plug goes u can start that day. Or weeks later. As far as your appointmens dilation. It changes labor can start when ever it wants that's the frustrating thing about pregnancy is you think u have time and you start. Or you think you're getting close and you end up getting induced lol good luck and as far as being 15 a lot more people have been there than you think. I got pregnant at 15 my sons now 4 and I know others that get abortions. So don't take shit from anyone.

It really doesn't mean and at all...I am now 38w 5d. And had my mucous plug come out around 28w. So labor could still be a while. Goodluck momma!! No stress...Dnt worry...it will all work itself out!
