There must not be much to police on the boards today since the outta here thread was closed in a hurry. On a scale of 1-10, that was a 3 in terms of snark. What has happened here? What is this place?

Any thread that is started just to complain about the community seems to be getting shut down immediately. I don't think it has to do with the snarky responses as much as the thread itself being against TOU.

I don't understand where she was coming from. I mean some of us can make snarky comments, but definitely nothing to take personal. Out of the other few boards I was on compared to this one... I LOVE YOU GUYS.

There was no bullying on that thread. It was just people telling her she was being ridiculous.
I feel like some of this borders on censorship. We are all grown women out in the world and bringing babies into the world why do we have to be policed for every little thing?! We should be able handle a disagreement or be able to tell a grown adult when they are being silly without being called "bullies".

I think admins' point is that members should be bringing issues of "bullying" to them as opposed to blasting members in a GBCB thread. I'm more baffled by anyone getting that offended by this group. Our BMB borders on boring at times.

@jessfragione I totally agree. And I involuntarily roll my eyes every time I see another thread about feeling the baby move, dopplers, weight gain, baby bump (or lack thereof) and nausea.

I enjoy looking at months further along than us to see what to expect next. I was reading Nov 2015... They are a really active bunch. There is a thread asking about whether anyone has had a US gender mistake that had 26 replies in like 5 minutes. It's been quite entertaining.

I was lurking in dec15 and one of their threads got shutdown because someone cried bully. OP didn't get response she wanted in her thread and then complained about it in the Monday morning bitchfest and didn't get the response she wanted again. The word bully got thrown around and the bitchfest was closed.
Seriously what the heck is going on around here!?

Ugh. I don't understand. If I have a strong reaction to something someone says online....I cut myself off from the internet. I like hanging out on here with you ladies and all, but I can easily disconnect if I get pissed off to the point where I get overly emotional irl. Then again, I don't think I would ask for medical advice or baby names either. *shrug*

While I agree that people should search and try and keep things on the same thread...it's a board about being pregnant, and many people here are FTMs and are nervous and don't know what to expect...what are people supposed to be talking about if not whether or not they have a bump yet and when nausea is supposed to disappear? I agree that people also need to man up and take a comment that they may not like (especially when they specifically ask for an opinion), but at the same time other people need to just ignore threads that don't interest them...I personally have no interest in other people's baby names (I honestly hate 90% of what people name their kids nowadays), so I either don't click when I see the subject, or I click and silently judge without commenting, lol.

Back when I was on the bump years ago the boards were way different and everyone was snarky. But the women were knowledgable and imo the board members were closer and the community was tighter.This January board is lame and I'm constantly lurking to keep myself entertained.

I'm impressed that so many of you can keep up with this stuff! I feel like I'm on here pretty often and I only have one board (bc that's all I know how to be a part of since they put me here) and I barely know what goes on on this one and I def don't know who's who or who said what. Like I said, impressed that you guys can keep up with multiple boards...and glad they're interesting lol

My stay at home business involves spray painting, so I had to stop once I found out I was pregnant. All of my friends and family live 6 hours away and my H works a lot... So I literally have nothing better to do with my life, which I know is pretty sad... I'm considering starting a daily thread here with links to all the snarky posts for everyone's reading pleasure

The thread got closed because it was negative toward the community, not because of any of the responses to her.
I would say the reason they are so onto it is because it took them 9 pages to close Down the thread on feb15 I'd say someone got into big trouble for that... Now they are not letting it slide at all.

I think because people like to throw around the "b" word. Calling each other bullies seems to do it quick.
Also if people start a thread specifically to post grievances against other members or the community in general.
