Our first dance was to "Better Today" by Coffey Anderson.

What was your first dance song at your wedding? John Hiatt Have a Little Faith in Me

What lyrics in this song tugged on your heart strings the most? ALL OF IT!! A couple of days after we got engaged DH put this song on and asked me to dance in our living room. By the end of the song we were both teary eyed and thus came to the conclusion that this had to be our first dance song. Here are my two favorite parts of the song:

Hubs and I didn't have a traditional wedding , we married in our living room with close family and our daughter and then went to dinner in a private room at a steakhouse .. So we didn't have a dance but our song is Yellow by Coldplay we call it our "family song"

What was your first dance song at your wedding?
Ugh... It was "Our House" by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, but I only chose that song because of a lot of pressure from people helping me plan. They kept telling me to pick a short song so I didn't bore everyone while my husband and I slowly revolved (we don't really "dance") for 5 minutes. So I did. I liked the song, but it wasn't really special to us.

My husband told me later that he didn't think it was the one we agreed on and he was disappointed, so I'll discuss the song he really wanted (which I like better anyway): "In the Aeroplane Over the Sea" by Neutral Milk Hotel.
