Anyone familiar with morning sickness. I need advice!

This is my first child. I am 7 wks pregnant now and I went through a week of horrible morning sickness and weight loss along with appetite lost...something I can't afford since I'm already skinny. I get hungry..like painfully hungry especially in the morning and then its hard to eat knowing I may throw up easily. now, the last two days have gotten easier. *knock on wood* haven't thrown up and I am building my appetite again but it still gets hard when I get dizzy and neausous out of no where. Please give me advice and tell me your stories. I know everyone's different but maybe the morning sickness and getting better?

I was SO sick with my first. I threw up almost everyday until 30 weeks. The only thing that helped me was prescribed anti nausea medicine.

I got some meclizine OTC. It works and is very safe. I dont trust zofran that they prescribe. I get awful ms with all of them. This is my 5th. I always lose about 15lbs in first tri.

I get nauseas, but it's definitely not morning sickness. Sorry, I can't relate.

Generally morning sickness will or won't occur during pregnancy, does or does not fluctuate by the minute, hour, day, or week, and it almost always improves by 40 weeks in or so. Sooner if you're lucky--later if your baby is stubborn. Enjoy!

I found that I was having horrible nausea but my doctors do not want to prescrive anything for it until at least 12 weeks because by then it may be tapering off and have just been the normal early pregnancy nausea. I started looking up things that are supposed to help with nausea and found that ginger tea is really beneficial. A cup a day and I am usually good. Just look for a natural one that has only ginger root as an ingredient.
