Starving

Hi moms to be,
I am due with my second in February. With my first, I had an extreme case of hyperemesis for all 40 weeks. With this one. I'm almost 8 weeks but I can't stop eating. If I'm not eating, I'm extremely nauseous, so much so that its interfering with my daily functioning. I take diclectin but still! I don't want to be sick the whole time again!

What snacks are you eating throughout the day to help?

Re: Starving

  • I eat carrots, cheese, crackers, fruit pretty basic snacks that keep my belly full so I don't feel sick. I'm really into cinnamon graham crackers right now.

  • I'm really into plain, white buttered toast right now. I've gone through phases with grilled cheese, crackers, trail mix, cold cereal.

Boom chicka pop sweet & salty popcorn (sold at target) - it's a lifesaver!

Also those cutie mini oranges, Greek yogurt, cottage cheese, mini coconut milk ice cream sandwiches (by sodelicious), Mac & cheese & mashed potatoes (from fast food places but I get a bunch & reheat later- such yummy comfort food), & cereal
  • I can't eat the se things for more than a day or two. Nothing sounds good and I can't stand eating the same things. It's making this whole nausea thing difficult. So I'm absolutely no help. Sorry.

  • I have to eat constantly too! If I don't I get nauseous. I'll wake up in the middle of the night just ravenous! Cold cereal, popsicles, toaster streudels, saltines, peaches, and string cheese! #sorandom
  • I've been keeping peanut butter cracker sandwiches and granola bars in my purse for when I get hungry on the go.

I'm in the same boat- have to keep eating or I feel nauseous. It's frustrating because I end up over-eating and then my stomach feels off. I haven't actually gotten sick yet though, so can't complain too much.
Chocolate Almond Milk has been a lifesaver at the office. Watermelon. Cereal. Carbs in general. Raw veggies have been really tough for me, so I've had to hide spinach in smoothies just to feel like I'm trying. Hope this is helpful! I like reading other posts to see if anything sounds palatable.
  • I am also so hungry all the time, and I'm constantly craving greasy, fatty junk food! I've found saltines with a little bit of peanut butter calms my stomach. Blueberries have also been a great go-to when craving something sweet. Quinoa and beans also fills my stomach and fixes some cravings, but I'm not so sure it helps with bloating. So hard to stay healthy these days!
  • I haven't had much of an appetite because of my queasyness, but what I'm ok with right now is apples & cheese (good cheddar!), crasins and almonds, pierogies, green salad with not much going on with it (I like spring mix with only some cherry tomatoes and a little dressing), bagels and cream cheese, light (mostly bland) cereal, and cucumber slices with a little salt. Weird list I know, but it's working ok so far!
  • I feel yucky all the time but it helps to eat more protein- Greek yogurt, eggs, almonds, cheese, salmon. Lots and lots of bubbly water (lemon or lime flavored), and citrus (grapefruit and tangerines) really helps too.
