hospital bag

I had a c section with both my last two pregnancies and will with #3 but should I still get a hospital bag ready? Dumb question but my oldest is 12 and youngest is 8 I feel like I'm on #1. And also my bfs mother told me he came early and it runs in their family, can that be a thing that runs in the family? Never heard it before. Thanks

I think it is obviously very early to be packing a hospital bag, however that being said it is not unheard of for a planned section mom to go into labor earlier than the date they are schedule, so you might want to as the time gets closer. I had mine packed with basics at 32 weeks with my first and I didn't go into labor until 41.

Agree with PP, also some people say when you go into labor runs in the family but it would be your family not your bfs. So if your mom or grandma or sister all went late, your chances could be higher.

@mommytobof3 Yes, like I said some people don't believe it is hereditary but some do. My mom had 2 c sections but my sister went at least a week over with both her girls so I'm preparing myself for that outcome.
If you're curious ask your mom or grandma how far along they were when they gave birth. Also, ask them about their pregnancies. A lot of things in pregnancy are supposed to be genetic and it might give you some insight.
