Waiting for anatomy scan for gender?

Anyone waiting for their 20 week anatomy scan, to find out the sex of the baby? (Instead of doing blood tests)
If so, when's your next scheduled ultrasound?

DH and I don't want to foot out a bill for $200+ on blood tests, when we can use that $200 toward a crib or what not. So we are waiting for the next Ultrasound.

Our scheduled Ultrasound to look at baby is August 17th. I will be about 19 weeks.
It's so soon, and I'm so excited to see baby and possibly the sex.

We are. Everyone finds out so early nowadays I'm sure the tech will be shocked when we say we haven't found out yet. I haven't scheduled the appointment yet.

Yes, if they can see it we'll find out whether LO is a boy or girl at the AS.
It isn't even scheduled yet, but I'm only 11+6. We didn't do any blood screenings or genetic testing, and that'll be the only ultrasound I have unless something unexpected comes up.
ETA not because we don't want to pay for procedures so much as we aren't worried about any conditions that may be there. I understand that some people want to know so they can research as much as possible ahead of time but we're not in that boat.

We are finding out next Friday the 17th At a 4D scan. But My anatomy scan should be in the middle of August

I'm paying $59 for a 4D ultrasound to find out the sex at 14 weeks (July 20).

I was going to wait until my 20 week ultrasound, but I found out my Women's hospital offers $50 gender ultrasounds at 16 weeks, so I made an appt for August 11. Soooooo excited!

I'm getting a gender test at 14 weeks for $50. I can't wait till 20 weeks that's much too long. With twins coming in super anxious and want to know as soon as possible.

My blood tests were free to us (my dr has a deal with the lab where essentially they charge whatever the patient's insurance is willing to pay so the patient never pays), so we just had them done today (10w6d) and will get the results in a week. But if it had cost us, we totally would have waited for our 16 week 4D ultrasound to find out.

Just FYI, you aren't paying 200 to find out the sex. The blood test is to screen for chromosomal abnormalities.

Yup, we're waiting, so I won't know till Sept 11. My next scan is my 12 week scan next week. I don't want unnecessary scans.

I'm paying $49 dollars to find out at 15wks... which is next Wednesday (at a 4d center)!!! That being said I have an ultrasound scheduled 5 days later too. I probably could of found out then as well, but I figured it was best to get a private scan instead of hoping they found the sex during my ultrasound at the specialist.

Yep. Waiting. SIL is an ultrasound tech and swears against clinics. Money pits that scan for too long, which is where the actual concern for ultrasounds comes in.

Yep, I'm waiting until the 20 week anatomy scan. I see my OB on monday, so that's when I'll be scheduling it.

My next appointment is august 3rd and I'll be 18w2d. Not sure if they'll do a us then for anatomy scan or make me come back at 20. Having to switch providers because my old office waited until after 2 appointments to tell me they don't take my insurance. This will be my first appointment with the new Dr, so no idea what to expect.

Yes, I am waiting. My ultrasound is set for August5th!!! I will be 19wks2days that day. It's in less then a month but it seems so far away.

We're waiting. Don't have an appt set yet but I assume it will be in the first or second week of August when I'll be at 20 wks. The wait is killing me though!! I just sent my husband some info on 3D/4D ultrasound for about $100, and I'm hoping he'll come around and want to do that in the next few weeks. I'm already almost 15 wks so we're coming up to the time when we could know sooner.

I'm waiting for my next appt which will be 7/31 and I'll be 17wks 4days. I'll be getting my blood work results and my doctor said she should be able to tell the sex as long as baby cooperates :x fingers crossed!

We are. My next appointment is at 16w2d but will just be a visit with the dr and doppler. 20 weeks they will do an u/s and hopefully baby will cooperate and show off for us!

I have an ultrasound on the 13th and I will be 15w I'm sure they will take a guess at the gender but they will probably schedule me an actual dating ultrasound closer to 20w

I'm waiting for the 20 week anatomy scan too! Seems like so long from now...August 10. Although I have an appt with my doctor next Thursday and hoping maybe she can tell! @kemerson531 I also sent my husband the info and hoping he'll want to find out earlier...no luck yet though : )

I'm having genetic testing done because we are at risk for several defects but I wasn't aware they could find the sex through a blood draw?

I had the genetic testing done but I told them I did not want to know the sex. My husband and I decided to wait until we are together at the anatomy scan to find out - more personal. I have to admit it is hard knowing the results are only a phone call away but I will be strong for 5 or 6 weeks

We are. My clinic only does two ultrasounds, one at the 7-9 mark and one at 20 weeks. Which isn't until mid August for me.

I guess a month isn't too terrible but it's still a wait.

We did not do the blood test because we are not high risk in that sense and we didn't want to spend hundreds of dollars when we could use it on supplies (it wouldn't be covered by our insurance). We are most likely waiting until our anatomy scan which is 8/21. I will be 20 weeks exactly. It's also my mom's birthday so it's kind of special

However, I have to go every few weeks for growth scans because I am high risk due to previous preterm labor and placenta issues, so I may find out before then...we will see. I was in such a hurry to find out with DS, this time I know either way I will be thrilled so I'm not in so much of hurry.

Tech took a peak during our NT scan. The baby was so active it was really hard to get a good look. The tech said "it's really hard to tell but my guess is a girl but there's a 50/50 chance I'm right." Geez. Thanks. We will stick with finding out at our scan on August 19th.

We are waiting until the 20 weeks scan, too. $350 for finding out 9 weeks earlier was not worth it to us! Aug 25th will be the big day!

We're getting an elective ultrasound to fine out the gender. It's $65 they can be done as earlier as 14 weeks.
