  • I've been getting lots of headaches too. Make sure you keep really well hydrated, I've needed to drink much more than I used to xx
  • I think what PP have said is great advice! You need to stay hydrated as much as possible. I am almost 20 weeks now and around 14-17 weeks I would get terrible headaches and even wake up with them. My doctor also recommended Gatorade for me to drink because my headaches were accompanied with dizziness most days.

I hope you get some relief soon!

You don't have blood pressure or sinus issues do you? I've been having terrible sinus headaches since I'm off most of my usual medicine for my allergies. So I sleep propped up which makes my neck hurt, which makes my head hurt lol. So you could also be out of alignment. Or it could just be hormones. Have you tried tylenol?

Yes to the Gatorade!!! I drank it all last pregnancy and it was a life saver!
  • I'm on the same boat. But I think mine is paired with going cold turkey on caffeine. I've been chugging lots of water to help. I'm trying to minimize taking Tylenol to just once a day, which is helping a ton. I'll have to try Gatorade!

  • My OB put my on Claritin once a day for headaches. I didn't feel like I had sinus issues but to my surprise it has made a huge difference. Also I was drinking too much water so I was flushing my electrolytes so try drinking some gatorade. Hopefully this helps, best of luck!

AUGH, headaches. They've been plaguing me too.

Sometimes muscle tension is making it worse, so if I notice my shoulders are tight, I do some shoulder-specific yoga to help. Just in case that's an issue with you too, I thought I'd throw that out there. :)

  • I had a couple migrains last pregnancy and some sinusy ones this pregnancy. When they get REALLY bad I try to nap them out- my doctor recommended a can of coke and a Benedryl for the migraines and it worked like a charm. For the sinus headaches, I've been using the Neti pot- even when I don't feel congested and trying to stay as hydrated as possible. My BP is very low, but I try to remember to check it when Ove got a headache that I just can't shake. So far I haven't seen it go up, so I'm just riding it out. This all day every day rain isn't helping!

i ended up having to get prescription meds for my migraines unfortunately, but they do the trick! i'll have to up my gatorade intake too, sounds like it has helped a lot of ppl!
  • Hydrate Gatorade and caffeine. There have been quite a few headache posts this week. Check out the post from Monday "continuous headaches". I think a lot of replies were on that one. Feel better!
  • I had been having a lot of headaches I went to doctor who checked he over and said I'm healthy and fine but suggested going to opticians. I booked an appointment and it turns out my eyesight was bad enough to get glasses for working especially on computer. Apparently it's common for woman's eyesight to change dramatically during pregnancy. My optician was pregnant herself.
It might be worth getting eyes checked as my glasses have almost completely aradicated my headaches.
  • I have also been waking up with headaches almost everyday, it is just the worst. I am definitely going to try keeping Gatorade and tylenol by my bedside.

I'm not sure about Gatorade but I've heard that Powerade contains a preservative that can cause birth defects. I love Powerade and Gatorade but that made me nervous about drinking them.
